  This place is absolutely horrible. Atleast, it was when I was placed here around 8 years ago. I was placed here after being somewhere else for awhile and the staff where horrible. They pinned me down one time and locked me in a room one time, aswell as just horrible overall. On top of that, it was at this place that I lost my baby blanket. I had had that blanket for my ENTIRE LIFE till I came here. They took it and got rid of it. I'm autistic with ADHD, and honestly?? Do not send your child here if they have anything of importance to them of that same value and irreplaceable impact.

  I went to this hospital for a 10 day stay for a psychiatric condition I have and my psychiatrist was doctor vadim izgur M.D. Dr. Izgur was the only doctor to diagnose me accurately after 55 years on this earth. He finally put me on the right meds I needed to be on for my condition and my symptoms have been controlled ever since! I'll be honest, I've had a few hospital stays in my life but south oaks was my best experience by far! The doctors, staff and hospital were all great to be around! If you have the option to come here for your needs take advantage of it and come! If you're alone and you need emergency psychiatric care call 911! Don't let embarrassment stop you from calling 911! Get the help you need and save your life or someone else's! I even made some friends here along the way too. I highly recommend south oaks hospital!
