Absolutely the worst company (as a healthcare professional) I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! They give false timelines, install faulty equipment, take a year to get parts in and let Medicaid approvals expire even when they have the parts to installs. Absolutely terrible!

This place is the absolute worst place to get your dme. Nobody working there gives a hoot if you get your equipment or not. I've been waiting at least 8 weeks for a cushion and I called again to find out what is going on. 7 weeks into this process and they're just now telling me that they don't have all the info from the doctor's office? Either the employees are completely incompetent or the company just doesn't care at all. I'm guessing the later. They want me making calls to the doctor's office? Why is that my job. So sick of the run around. Lawyer? What's left to do?

My experience with this company has been a nightmare. I dropped off a power wheelchair four days ago and have not heard from the company. When I call I only get to speak with the receptionist and tells me that they’re trying to figure out how much to charge me to put a motor in Because I’m not using insurance to me it feels like they care more about the billable to your insurance company so they can mark up the project then actually address the need. I’m an individual who cannot stand or walk and relies on their wheelchair 100% of the day. I did get a call finally 5 days , after dropping off the chair from a gentleman named Tom he identified himself as the service manager and he explained that they’re funding specialist is on vacation and that’s why it took so long to get me a estimated price I find it hard to believe that someone in the building didn’t know the cost of the motor from pride mobility or why the service manager didn’t call pride Mobility to get a price A terrible experience from start to finish I am NOT having them work on my wheelchair

I got the process started for a new wheelchair in August and still don't have my chair. My chair is broken but using screw bits with tape until I get my new chair is ready. It worked well last time I got a chair from them. I'm gonna be 18 my parents keep calling and I keep calling. I wish someone would help me.

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
