I loved the atmosphere the studio is clean and very well kept but I was not impressed by the instructor as she was informative I do not think her demeanor and delivery was warm or kind. My friends and I booked an intro class and yes we did arrive a little bit close to when class started the instructor not so kindly informed us "she doesn't like to start later than 5:02" and when we did not have grip socks she was not very kind with her delivery that we have to purchase them. During the intro class I feel as though she was rushing to explain and expected everyone to know right away what they were doing as I mentioned before she was not that kind. The person at the front desk was super nice and sweet!! when you are going somewhere for the first time it is nice to walk into the place with people ready to greet to you with excitement not attitude. During the instructions she often seemed as though she was annoyed we were not understanding things please keep in mind this was an INTRO CLASS it was all of our first times trying and I did love the experience!!! But, wish I had a different instructor not sure If I will be back or if I will book a class with this specific instructor. I do not remember her name but like I said, when I go somewhere I want to feel welcomed which this instructor failed to make me feel.

The instructors can very good. However, if you get sick and try to pause or cancel membership they will make it impossible to do so. It’s also quite tough to find a class that’s not already full. I do not recommend this studio.

I recently tried to book a class here and ran into a surprisingly convoluted process. Despite having over a decade of reformer experience, I wasn’t allowed to book anything without an intro session — fine in theory, but the intake was unnecessarily heavy-handed. After placing an international call to confirm details, I still received multiple texts and calls insisting on a preliminary goals-and-experience discussion, which felt redundant given their own required intro filter. The “30-minute” intro class is actually 45 minutes, because they insist you arrive 15 minutes early — a policy I’ve never encountered in any of the studios I’ve attended over the years. I drove an hour from the Helderberg Hilltowns to make this appointment, only to be turned away for arriving three minutes late on a snowy morning. Individually, any one of these things would be forgivable. Taken together, they create an exhausting and overly pretentious experience long before you even get to take a class. The mental health benefits of Pilates aren’t worth the hoops required just to prove you’re eligible to pay $1/minute for their services.

This review is based solely on the registration process, as I never actually got to attend a class. Unlike most fitness studios where you can simply sign up and show up, this one requires a 30-minute introductory session. Leading up to that intro, I received multiple calls to reconfirm—so many that the studio’s number eventually showed up as “potential spam” on my phone. I was also pitched a membership package before I had even tried a single class, which didn’t feel great. A friend who booked with me had her class cancelled automatically before the 12-hour window because she didn’t confirm quickly enough (she was at work at the time). When I finally arrived for the intro—three minutes late after driving an hour—I was told I couldn’t enter because the class had already started. I’ve been going to fitness studios for 15 years and have never been turned away for being under five minutes late. Given the lack of flexibility and the pressure during the registration process, I’d suggest exploring other options in the Capital Region if you can. The experience didn’t inspire confidence in how the studio is managed.
