I rented a rollator (walker with 4 wheels and a seat) through Cloud of Goods, who must have outsourced to Vegas Mobility. Vegas Mobility did drop the rollator off on time. When I was able to pick it up I noticed the left brake was not working and the whole thing was unstable.
I called and had to leave a message, sent a text, and had to email them. They contacted me, while I was in a work meeting for the conference I was there for. They called, texted, and even contacted my emergency contact, about swapping the rollator out immediately, that was not possible for me.
They switched out the rollator for another model. Its brakes did not work well either. I contacted them to let them know, providing a video showing that even with the brakes set to the locked position, it continued to roll. This is very unsafe for someone using this for stability. Also, you could not safely lock it to sit down on it.
When I contacted them, their responses was, “Ohhh, that's the only model we have available at the moment. However, if you prefer, you can return both walkers at the bell desk, and we'll proceed with cancellation if needed.”
I am surprised and disappointed at the lack of care that they show their customers who are trying to use these rollators to get around safely. Instead, they are renting out faulty equipment that is unsafe.
Both of these rollators were sent out without the brakes working effectively. Neither of them were able to be used as intended, as a chair. And they were not stable.
The attitude of, oh well, you can just return it, was not helpful. I needed the rollator. You all obviously did not care.
It was a frustrating experience to rent something that you actually need for mobility, around a very large resort, and get two unstable devices.
If you have a choice, which I did not, do not rent a mobility device through this company.
