I have been dealing with national seating and mobility for over 4 years. The experience was great when John was here. He was capable of getting you the things you need and didn’t put any personal bias on things. Now John has retired unfortunately and we are left to deal with Eric. I received referrals to get my son a car seat, a wheelchair, and a gait trainer in June 2024. I did not meet with Eric until January 2025. This was after my son had a stroke and was left with more deficits than before. Which emphasizes the importance of promptly getting him the equipment he needs. Upon meeting with Eric, I was met with instant judgements about my son’s condition and he disagreed with doctors about the equipment necessary. He told me “I’m not going to order a car seat” and was concerned about compliance with equipment because he goes in peoples houses and sees equipment sitting in the corner. I don’t understand how that applies to my situation. I was asked to send pictures of my son in his equipment to prove he used it. I sent the pictures and my son was still never ordered any equipment not even the wheelchair which is clear he needed being that he can’t walk. Eric said he has to present the information to insurance like it is the court of law. Eric then went to my physical therapist and told her my apartment is too small for the gait trainer. Which is actually insane. I received my previous gait trainer in an apartment smaller than this. I also made sure I carried the gait trainer my previous wheelchair and my son up and down stairs daily to get my son his much needed exercise. I brought these concerns up to Stephanie who used to be caring but she just brushed them off and ignored what was said. I was then told by Eric and Stephanie that insurance is denying car seats. Still no orders for the other equipment. At this point I decided to switch companies because who in their right mind would continue tolerating this. I got the referrals in June 2025 for Numotion. And would you believe it, insurance approved the car seat! Also, the wheelchair and gait trainer were approved. It is now mid November and I have all three pieces of equipment. I don’t blame Stephanie for her calling and telling me insurance is denying them as I’m sure she got that information from Eric who doesn’t seem to actually care about the needs of his customers. Apparently Eric is an expert in equipment, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological deficits and a terrible lawyer being that he can’t get things approved. Eric knows more than people with doctorate degrees who have been doing this for years. Seriously though, Eric is someone who is not honest and does not advocate for the needs of the client. For anyone reading this avoid Eric, avoid NSM because clearly they don’t care about the needs of the people they serve. If anyone has information on how to report Eric and NSM, please post it as a review so people know moving forward.

We purchased a Bruno Stair lift for my mother one year ago. At about $8K this was a BIG investment for us. The stairlift was installed and up and running in a reasonably timely manner. The lift has been very helpful to keep my 89 year old mother in her home of 30 plus years. We had a problem about 3 months in and had to contact our representative, Kevin M at National Seating & Mobility, to warranty the wiring harness. Kevin got right on it and made everything right. That was wonderful service. Now, here we are six months later and another small issue has arisen. I tried to reach out again to Kevin M only to find out his number is no longer in service. Hmmm. I then called National Seating & Mobility (Henderson Nevada). At first I was transferred from one department to another. Finally, I am told, they no longer do any service. Told they made a company decision to close down the service and install department. They do no service, no warranty, no nothing. I have to call some other company and figure it out myself!!! Really!!! Bruno has a 5 year warranty but this company collected their money on install and now have washed their hands of any follow-up customer service for their existing customers. I am left to navigate any warranty issues or questions or any kind of help I might need on my own. WTH. Think twice before choosing this company. They have not been there for me when I need them to be. This is not standing behind their work/installs. Choosing National Seating & Mobility was a terrible mistake.

Great stairlift installation. Kevin M. of National Seating & Mobility did a phenomenal job from precise measurements to final installation. A marvel of engineering! Well deserved 5 stars.

We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
The choice of a wheeled mobility supplier is yours. Discuss your decision with your physician and therapist.
