I just had my wisdom teeth out and an extra tooth, when I tried to voice my concerns about the iv cause I have extreme anxiety regarding ivs. I had a consult, the nurse was super nice, listened to my concerns and promised that I would be numb and asleep before the iv went in. As well as I had expressed that a penicillin allergy ran in my family and to be on the safer side I did not want amoxicillin or any form of penicillin.
Dr. Bourget was fantastic. Funny, straight to the point. Honestly the best dentist I've had.
The nurse that I had for my consult, I believe her name was Laura or something of the sort, was super friendly, eager to answer any questions and to sort out all of my concerns.
The anesthesiologist was very rude, pushy, and grabby. I was having a visible panic attack and he grabbed my hand anyways when I was not ready.
The nurse I had in pre-op, did not really help my anxiety regarding the iv which was in fact the worse part for me.
But the nurses in the actual OR were fantastic.
We also gave them a call, which they were super helpful and the receptionist there immediately jumped on to help us get the antibiotic I need.
Overall, it was a safe space, until the anesthesiologist and the pre-op nurse.
