  I am so very thankful to have ended up in the care of Laurie and her fantastic team. Was referred from Audiology Associates for Auditory Integration Therapy (AIT) after my hearing test came back that everything was a-ok. I had been experiencing what seemed like hearing loss since having had COVID. The week before therapy started, I attended a wedding reception and felt miserable in that I really could not hear any conversation and that scared me. Also realized I was not being as social at work since changing from a remote position to working in an office (now without headphones). From the intake appointment Laurie was confident AIT would help with what I was perceiving as hearing loss and explained I had Hyperacusis after the initial testing. She definitely made me feel better about my hearing and hopeful. It infact was not hearing loss, but my brain was interpreting certain frequencies over others. I heard everything but my brain was paying attention to weird stuff that should be in the background, more than someone's voice speaking. The therapy used music tuned to my issue frequencies per Laurie and changes in volume throughout therapy. Her team set me up each day and let me know what to expect. The first day was probably the most difficult, from then on it was more manageable and by the end of therapy I was happily reading my book while listening. After one week of therapy I could tell a difference, noises that had been bothering me no longer were. In the final session you undergo the same initial test and Laurie checks your results against goals and whether your ears are better at working together. Luckily for me it was surpassing initial goals! Everyone at this practice was so pleasant to speak with, great at answering any questions I had and this made it a very enjoyable experience. So glad that my brain could be retrained. Thank you so much for all of your help!

  I'm so thankful I found Laurie. My daughter was diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. I thought it was ADHD, as she was struggling in school and had all F's. We came across Laurie after my daughters diagnosis. My daughter did 10 days with AIT machine. Let me tell you, it worked wonders! My daughter is now an A+ student and is thriving. I couldn't be more thankful. On top of that, Laurie and her staff are phenomenal.

  Laurie was super helpful and detailed with my evaluation. I had no idea what to expect, but the outcome has been impossible to ignore. Huge thanks to Laurie and the team for making my experience so great!

  I found them a few weeks ago. I was t-boned in a car accident and now suffer from post concussion syndrome and a lot of other symptoms. I had a lot of nerve damage happen. The doctor started me on a treatment that was like a brain boot camp. It was a two week program and seems to be helping. My symptoms aren’t all gone however I believe this program has helped me some. I had lost the ability to multitask and just do everyday tasks as simple as remembering to brush my teeth. Everything that came easily to me is now incredibly hard basic stuff. They have told me that it will continue to work within the year. Out of my two weeks I have had 1 day where I was able to multitask again the way I used to be. It may not all be fixed however I have a positive attitude that it will continue to help me. She has recommended for me to do this once a year to help retrain my brain. It has also helped me with my hypersensitivity when it comes to my hearing, I am less agitated by all the noises and my headaches have gone down some. I highly recommend these guys they are so helpful, friendly, and actually listen to you. Most doctors I’ve come across don’t even give you the time of day, you get 15 minutes and in that time you hope they are paying attention, however with what I’ve experienced they don’t even listen. These guys are completely the opposite, they are wonderful!!! I give them an 11 in my book 0 being bad and 10 being good 👍 I highly recommend them!!!
