She was able to understand the problem, work with us and go above and beyond with the insurance to make sure everything is running smoothly again. Not only does she care but she does really go the extra mile to make sure everything is good. Highly recommend working with Patty, thank you so much!!

The team went above and beyond when updating my son’s wheelchair, and Carlos in particular was outstanding. From start to finish, Carlos took his time and never made us feel rushed. He was incredibly thorough with measurements and carefully evaluated not just my son, but also his current chair to understand exactly what was and wasn’t working. That level of attention made such a difference. What stood out most was how thoughtful and precise he was in making the necessary modifications. Every adjustment was clearly made with my son’s comfort, support, and long-term well-being in mind. You can tell he truly cares about the people he serves. I’m so grateful for Carlos’s professionalism, kindness, and dedication. I highly recommend him and the entire team to any family looking for compassionate, high-quality mobility care.
- PBPaul BFeb 25, 20261.0Asked if they got a script from a doctor and it was for my mom and the lady on the phone said no. They basically blew off my mom and told her to check with her doctor. We said to her that they sent it could you call them because she was going around in circles for weeks trying to get a scooter that Medicare said they would pay for. She said that's not my job. I thought being a health care person either in the doctors office or getting meds or medical tools that pretty much half your job the other half is finding what the person needs. I don't recommend this place especially that my cousin is the father of pain management and talks about how half of a persons treatment is listening and trying to get the best service to treat an alliment and for a handicap person not helping to get mobility scooter probably doesn't help that person.

Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
