I want to start by saying I feel LensCrafters over all have great quality in brand name eye wear. I don’t mean no disrespect to anyone of the Stores I have attended From February 21st to April 1st of now 2026.I have a very uncomfortable situation with not being able to find the right fit in eyewear here at anyone of the stores of LensCrafters. I have a wide head and narrow nose bridge to try to fit glasses on my face . I explained this situation to The MeloStore,The Freehold Store and Currently The West Windsor Store. I had three exchanges of eyewear one from each store I stated. I don’t blame any location for that particular situation that’s not their fault. I just feel like I didn’t get any deep consideration for coming up with a better solution to my problems. I am now stuck with 2 sets of glasses that has contributed to skin marks on both sides of my head and dark dents on both sides of the bridge ofmynose, which hurts. The eyewear basically cost around $1400.I paid over $700 and my insurance paid the remainder. The 30 day warranty of course is no longer valid. I can’t wear contacts because the nature of my job with eye irrigations. I want be eligible for new eyewear until a year from now. I made numerous car trips to all of the LensCrafters locations that I mentioned at the gas prices that we all are currently experiencing. I was told by the Freehold Store Representative, I am not going to get perfect . I didn’t even say anything rude or any aggressive words to his comment. I was told to try West Windsor location because it has a wider selection and eyewear. I wonder how anyone else would feel if they were going through this ordeal . I understand there are tons of people that shop with LensCrafters all over the country. I would imagine there are numerous people who are satisfied with their purchase. I look in the mirror and I feel disappointed because what has happened . I understand the marks make not even clear up all together at some point. I have a progressive prescription ,that entails me to rely on glasses all the time until bedtime . I know everyone who reads this post don’t know me . I am a really good and decent and fair person. I just wanted to have comfortable and good quality eyewear. I feel like nobody cares and just going to continue on and I have to,just go on like nothing ever happened and business is usual for others. I don’t mean to sound like sour grapes. I just feel shaken about the horrible experience I feel . I wasn’t looking for flossy or trying to insult anyone about my thoughts and concerns.
I know it’s not personal ,
it’s just business. I myself, no matter what could just let anybody be feeling the way I am feeling about the hold situation. I am raising my Son and Daughter to know that you have to give people extra help and respect and time even at the cost of profit and policy . I hope this post will others to go beyond the call of duty and help someone who have difficulties and needs to be met .We all should remember it may be you are someone close to you may need extra in help when they are need of help. I conclude by saying God Bless us all!!

I recently visited LensCrafters and had a mixed experience. When I first walked in, no one greeted me. I stood at the reception desk for about a minute before anyone acknowledged me and asked if I needed assistance. There were three associates sitting together—one was helping a customer on the phone, while the other two appeared to be on their personal phones.
Eventually, another associate approached me and asked if I needed help, then directed one of the associates to assist me. Once I received assistance, the young lady who helped me was very kind, professional, and thorough. She even took the time to do an additional demo with me, which I appreciated.
Overall, the experience wasn’t too bad, but not being greeted when you walk in doesn’t leave a great first impression. A simple acknowledgment can go a long way in making customers feel welcome and appreciated.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
