From day one the help was incredible. The women (and man) who helped care for my dad were caring professional aides. They soon bonded with Dad and made sure he was comfortable, clean, fed and hydrated. They kept us informed of any changes in his routines, health or well being. They did laundry, kept the house tidy and even filled the bird feeders! We felt at ease knowing Dad was well cared for when we couldn’t be there. A special shout out to Christiana! She and Dad shared a special bond. When he was resisting a bath or food or drink, she would always succeed through her soft, caring, gentle persuasion. Christiana is the type of caregiver you will find working for Home Instead!

Mom was not the easiest person to take care of, but the aides were very patient And loving. Some of the ladies even came to visit my mother, even when they were no longer part of her daily care. From the moment Anuja came to meet her I could tell that she had beautiful insight and really spent time getting to know my aunt, her history, routines and preferences. She explained each step in detail and the paperwork thoroughly. Next was the Nurse Practitioner, Dawn. She was lovely and helped to really assess our needs and my aunt’s limitations. We did try several different aides, all were lovely but my aunt personally became close to a few of them and really preferred them in her schedule, which Home Instead was quite willing to do. The scheduling department, Sharika was easy to get in touch with. Billing was prompt , correct and easy to navigate with their online system. Please bear in mind that I was monitoring all this care from over 600 miles away. So to be very honest they made me feel comfortable that we were all in good hands. We even had a situation where my aunt had to go to rehab and then start her home care again. The communication and process went smoothly. This agency deserves 10 diamonds, because they were a Godsent gift in our lives.
