Went here for a teeth cleaning and fillings. Though I knew I needed fillings in the right back side of my mouth I was feeling zero pain chewing on that side. The first visit they did 4 x-rays. When the dentist saw me she told me she couldn't do the cleaning or fillings because I had recently recovered from strep. She did still inspect my teeth and even seemed surprised when she asked if I felt pain when she used her tools and scraped the areas needing fillings --- I didn't feel any. Had my fillings placed on Monday. They told me to reschedule for 2 week out for an additional filling up top. I was thoroughly confused why I would need another appointment for a filling. Fillings don't take long and I already had been waiting for 30-40 minutes for this visit. Didn't really protest. The anesthesia wore off and the moment I tried softly biting onto something there was pain that wasn't there prior. I gave it some time thinking maybe they were just sensitive so I woke up the next morning and tested them out. Again --- pain. I called into the office and told them so they scheduled me for another appointment. Waited 40-50 minutes this time for them to finally see me to grind the filling down. It took no more than 5 minutes once seated. I asked since I was already there could they finish up the last filling on the top tooth they had me schedule for 2 weeks out since I had already waited 40 minutes to be seen. They refused. Suspicious activity: They unusually decided it was necessary to X-ray the tooth that they already x-rayed approximately a week prior during this visit. The filling was apparently set too high. I was informed there should be no pain within 24 hours. Full day passes and the pain still exists. I called in today and they're trying to schedule me in for a third appointment. I've had 2 or 3 fillings in my life and never have I had pain afterwards. The fact that I need to schedule a fourth appointment and wait in the lobby again to be seen seems beyond ridiculous to me, considering every other filling I've never felt paint afterwards or had to come for adjustments. Then researching that it's not normal for them to X-ray for a "high bite" because the filling was placed too high had me suspicious like are they sabotaging my filling for additional insurance payouts. I'm not 100% certain of this but 4 visits to get a filling? An x-ray just to assess a high bite because of a filling procedure they did improperly? Technically they're not even supposed to bill for the correction , from what I've read, because it was correcting their mistake. Lastly: I'm seeing a lot of reviews about bad customer service. The last one I spoke to on the phone: when I told her I wanted ledgers of all the charges they billed to the insurance company along with my records so I can take it to the next dentist --- she was rude, cutting me off and attempting to pressure me into a new appointment. Now I found a different dentist and have an appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they get this right so I can eat normally. I'd avoid at all cost and go elsewhere. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE OR TOOTHACHE! Edit: Weak excuses in their response. Additional X-rays for what? I told them the bite felt high --- they X-rayed before looking at it. A high bite due to a improper filling isn't assessed by x-ray. You already had an X-ray from 8 days before. And additional procedures? You gave me a slot for a 1PM, I wasn't seen until nearly 2PM and the grinding down the filling took less than 5 minutes. You forced me to schedule an appointment 2 weeks down the line for one filling on an upper tooth. Fillings take no more than 10 minutes when you start the process. So you couldn't add 10 minutes and get the filling complete rather than make me wait another 2 weeks and then probably another 30-50 minutes to be seen for one filling when you already allotted time for a visit and gave me 5 minutes?!? So your time matters but no respect for your patient's time, correct? Gas lighting at its finest. And you billed for each visit according to insurance. Fraud.
