  My husband Doug received the offer of a $50 gift card for his 80th birthday, if he took the free hearing test. The test was done well but no gift card was sent. He called more than once and wasn't able to speak to a live agent. since then he received various Miracle Ear offers, but no gift card. One star for the test only

  My mother paid $7k for aids at ME Paramus many yrs ago. When the warranty expired at 3 yrs, the audiologist tried to "upgrade" her to a new $5K pair. He administered a word recognition test. She scored 40% with her old aids for one word set and 100% with new aides on a separate word set. I took a pic of the scored test and we left without new aids. I gave her the exact test a week later. She got the exact same scores with her old aids (40%/100%). Conclusion - the new $5k aids were no better. She never returned and the old aids lasted for yrs. She eventually replaced them with Costco Jabra aids for $1,700 (no commissions). Costco's soundproof booth testing and fitting procedures were extraordinarily thorough and the aids had a 180 day money back guarantee. She is extremely happy with them. The 3 stars is for the ME aid's longevity and solid service excluding the last visit.

  bad customer service. they call you in the office and never tells you that they don't accept insurance. waste of time. do not go there. i had put the review. they take the negative review out. shame on them

  Best office to greet. My mother is able to hear a lot much now thanks to Miracle Ear. Definitely recommend if you need thorough check up and monthly check ups.

  STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! I would give them zero stars if I could. My mother bought hearing aids at Miracle Ear in Paramus, NJ. She was working with George Theofanides. She traded in her hearing aids and bought the top of the line aids that were offered by Miracle Ear. During the trial period, she was not at all impressed with the little hearing improvement she received from them. She still couldn’t hear very well while wearing them. Before the trial period ended, she went back to return them for a refund and wanted her old hearing aids back. George refused. He threatened that if she returned the hearing aids that she was going to get Alzheimer’s!!! My mother is 79 years old and he scared her so much and persuaded her to keep them. After a couple of days, she was really upset that she had been bullied into keeping and paying thousands of dollars for hearing aids that she didn’t want. She called and tried to speak to a manager at the office who began screaming at her on the phone and so she hung up on him and never called back. I feel so sad for her as they wouldn’t return her old hearing aids to her and she is really struggling to hear after having paid almost $7,000 for the new aids. I only just found out about this from her and I’m horrified! It seems to me, they are preying on the elderly. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.
