  I went there for a simple physical and blood work for a job. There wasn't any one else in front of me. However it took too long for me to be called.

  Went in for a test and waited longer than expected, not to mention that I had to do duplicate paperwork as well. When I went in the medial assistant who I believe was a male spanish-speaking man, had no attention to the patient (me) and seemed almost passive aggressive. Didn’t leave a good impression walking out of there, nor did I feel good afterwards. Safe to say that I will not be returning.

  My experience with AFC Urgent Care Paramus was a complete mess from start to finish. I went in for routine preventive blood work and ended up making three separate visits because the lab orders were repeatedly handled incorrectly. On January 28, 2026, I was given scripts labeled only as ‘STD Panel’ and ‘Elite Health Profile Enhanced,’ which Quest Diagnostics would not accept because the actual tests were not listed individually. I returned on January 29, 2026, and while some items were corrected, important tests were still missing. Then on January 30, 2026, the remaining tests were finally written, but this time the orders were coded with diagnosis codes for hair loss/alopecia, which had absolutely nothing to do with why I was there. Because of those incorrect diagnosis codes, my insurance denied the claims and I am now facing roughly $2,000 in bills from Quest Diagnostics for lab work that should have been processed as preventive care. That is not a minor clerical issue. That is a serious error with real financial consequences. What makes this even worse is that AFC Urgent Care Paramus has refused to correct the mistake, even though the incorrect coding is the direct reason the claims were denied. A medical office should be able to handle basic lab orders accurately, especially after multiple visits to correct prior mistakes. Patients should not have to spend days going back and forth between urgent care and the lab, only to get stuck with thousands of dollars in charges because the provider entered diagnosis codes for conditions that were never evaluated and never the reason for the visit. Extremely disappointing experience. I would strongly caution anyone to double-check every order and every diagnosis code before leaving this office, as it may leave you thousands of dollars in debt!
