I took my 3 year old here because he had a cough for a little over a week and was having trouble sleeping. At our visit the doctor I told them about his past with bronchitis, and I had been doing albuterol treatments out of fear he had bronchitis again. They reassured me that his lungs were clear and to continue albuterol treatments and it should clear up. After nearly another two weeks of continued albuterol treatments, I noticed no progress so I took him back. I explained how his cough was worse at night. He still was having trouble sleeping and he had actually had a fever the night prior to me bringing him. They checked him again, his chest ears and throat and reassure me for a second time. He was completely clear. I asked if I could have an antibiotic in which they said they don’t like to unnecessarily prescribe antibiotics and instead gave me a steroid to combine with his albuterol. I tried that treatment for nine days and still no progress. I was encouraged to see a private dr. because it seemed my concerns were falling on deaf ears, and thank God I did because it turned out my son had pneumonia. I only turned to urgent care because my son‘s primary was no longer taking his insurance and urgent care seemed like a good fit for our situation, but sadly not I’m not writing this to bash urgent care more so to warn other parents about the importance of advocating for your child at this location, should you have to bring them there.

I was here last month with flu symptoms and was told I couldn’t be treated for the flu without a positive test. I asked to be tested and was told they had no in house flu test and it had to be sent out. I was told that the results would take 2-3 days and If I didn’t hear anything back, that means the test showed as negative. Fast forward two days, no word and still getting sicker, fever, body aches, whole thing. I called back and was told the test was negative to which I said I am getting worse. I was told to come back in. We are now two copays into treatment. I see another PA (because you never see an MD here). She tells me that since I am still this ill and tested negative prior, she is going to diagnose me with viral pneumonia. They never retested me, even knowing (I would think) that it can take some time to show positive on a flu or Covid test. I asked, should I test again? I was told no. For a SECOND time I leave the office with inconclusive guesses on diagnosis. Fast forward two more days, I ended up in the hospital with THE FLU and colitis. The ED doctor asked me why did they not retest upon your return to the office and I have that same question. The office called me to follow up that same weekend. I explained that their negligence to my care had landed me in the hospital and was told I would be contacted by a manager. Never called. I called back myself two weeks later and asked to speak to a manager again. I was told I would be called back. Its now a month later and I still have not received a call. Have received a bill tho! The bill shows they want yet another co pay. What a joke. This place is a waste of time, and that’s being kind.
