The world renowned SlowBurn method is a form of strengthening exercise that uses very slow, smooth, and controlled lifting and lowering movements, rather than the typical high force, explosive lifting seen in most gyms and training studios. It is very similar to the way the gentle yet powerful martial art Tai Chi is performed. There are no sudden, explosive or highly abrupt movements that can potentially cause injury.     I’ve been training at Serious Strength with Tommy Day and must say I have never felt stronger or healthier. I’ve been a yoga practitioner for more than 30 years so I’m no stranger to exercise, but Slow Burn under the guidance of Tommy, has made me feel more fit than ever. He is patient, instructive and encouraging as well as knowledgeable. A true mentor and source of inspiration.

    I have been going to SlowBurn in Montclair for over a year now and the results have been amazing. I had some baby weight around the middle that I wanted to get rid of and I am a busy mom who also runs her own business so TIME is not on my side. Doing SlowBurn paired with intermittent fasting allowed me to go to my SlowBurn workout once a week and see results! I love both trainers Tommy and Rosanne and I feel like they honestly do care about my progress. Oh and I love those jerky sticks they sell too for a post-workout treat!
