  Review on Dr. Paul Barabas, dated 10/8/2022 Twice a year, I have Prophylaxis and/or Deep Cleaning performed on my sensitive gums in the office of Dr. Paul Barabas. He systematically checks after the dental hygienist if plaques are removed all the way down to the roots, ensuring that my teeth are completely clean and free from bacteria. He does this to prevent the presence and spreading of gum disease. Aside from routine cleaning, I also had tooth extractions before Implants are initiated on three of my teeth. I am so overjoyed because of the excellent cleanings and thorough inspections that my teeth and gums received. I did not succumb to any gum disease or periodontal disease. The first implant I had which Dr. Paul Barabas continuously checks every dental visit is still as strong as can be. These are the main reasons why I had Dr. Paul Barabas as my periodontist for the past 27 years and onward. Dr. Paul Barabas always has a smile and a friendly “How Are You” upon meeting his clients. He continuously develops a very warm rapport with his patients and with everyone he comes in contact with. He clearly enjoys the people aspect of his job. When he extracted and replaced my teeth with implants, Dr. Paul Barabas demonstrated a thorough knowledge and understanding of the technical aspect and of his key responsibilities as periodontist. He is technically adept with a solid communication skill at all facets of his work. He excels at communications, clearly explaining the dental procedures he will perform. He is always direct and honest when dealing with his patients. He would apologize for any pain he may cause. He would request immediate feedback from his patients, when they are uncomfortable. He is an emphatic and a focused listener. He maintains eye contact as he listens attentively and objectively with an open mind. He demonstrates a sincere interest in his patient’s point of view. His actions are always consistent with his words. It is because of these displayed behaviors that I feel very comfortable giving and sharing my thoughts and opinions with Dr. Paul Barabas’ care. Upon completion of any surgery, he performs a final check to ensure that what he did is always of the highest quality. He displays pride in his work. He never sacrifices quality over speed. Before the end of the day of the surgery, Dr. Paul Barabas calls his patients to check on how they feel, ensuring that they are void of any pain. I am fully satisfied with Dr. Paul Barabas dental practices that my wife is also under his dental care. My wife and I are currently having our implants done by him and his son, Dr. Dan Barabas. And when I have any questions about my insurance coverage, Dr. Paul Barabas’ wife, Ann is always there to clear up matters. They have a Dependable and Responsible staff who are courteous and ready to help. The Barabases have developed a loyal customer base with a high rate of repeat customers as well as incoming new dental patients. My wife and I are both in their excellent dental care during our Senior years.   I have been using Ridgewood Periodontal for years. I feel the level of care, service, and intrest in my well being far exceeds my expectations at every visit. I highly recomend them. Its always a positive experience....and I'm saying this about a dental visit. Lew
