Club Pilates Middletown is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
Love this studio!! I am currently 34+ weeks pregnant, and I have been coming to Pilates 5-7 times per week for almost 3 months. My Dr. had suggested Pilates as a workout that was safe and recommended for a high-risk pregnancy. Many of the instructors are extremely good at modifying the workouts for pregnancy, but you start to get the hang of what you should and shouldn’t be doing! My favorite instructors are Nicole, Sharon, Kristen, Elektra. The others are also great but some are not as good at explicitly modifying the workouts for pregnancy. Nicole helped me a lot to show me what was safe and allowed during different weeks of pregnancy. I feel absolutely amazing, and I know that my pregnancy would not feel this good if it weren’t for Club Pilates! It has truly been a life-changing experience! If you are pregnant, definitely sign up!! I was starting to get sciatica during my second trimester, and it has completely gone away. I have also managed to maintain my weight for the last 2 months (my Dr. has told me this ok because I was overweight before I got pregnant). I feel better than ever, and I can’t wait to continue post-partum and beyond.

I have been doing classes at the Middletown and Shrewsbury studios for a little over one year. I primarily take classes with Dana and Courtney. Two years ago I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. I did not take medication for this - only calcium, Pilates, and walking my dog. I am very happy to share that I have reversed this diagnosis! My numbers have improved! I cannot thank Dana and Courtney enough! This is Magic!!

I have been coming to this location for a couple years now. There are some pros and cons at having a membership here, but the cons have been outweighing the pros, therefore making the decision to cancel my membership an easy one. First, I would like to say they don’t acknowledge your “milestone” classes as advertised. As of yet, I have taken almost 260 classes here. My 100th and 250th have gone unnoticed. Not really the biggest issue, but some acknowledgement like the other members would be nice since I’ve been paying a pretty penny to attend. Their late policy is 5 min after class starts, I’m sometimes late I’ll admit, but some instructors will lock the door on you at exactly 5 min even when they see you running inside. It’s pretty upsetting. Sometimes class doesn’t even start right on time, or they end earlier than they’re supposed to so the “late” policy is a scam. They tell all members it’s to “warm up” for your protection, sure whatever you say. Most of the instructors are very sweet such as Courtney, Sharon, Mallory and Kristen. The instructor Nicole doesn’t seem to be my biggest fan. She has admittedly taken me off her schedule a few times because she doesn’t want me in her class. She has lied about me several times and slandered my name to others. I have joined several workout classes in the area and I have NEVER experienced this. She would take me off her schedule and has asked other employees to do the same once they see my name on her schedule. Her reasoning was because I’m always late or never showed up. Which is not true. For weekend classes, people wait in the lobby for those who don’t show up anyway. She gets paid for the “empty” spot that’s now filled with another member. Her reasoning was “I’m hired from corporate so I can do what I want.” All because I confronted her about it and she didn’t like it. I have the whole phone call recorded so please don’t reply with “that’s not what she said” when it clearly is. I’m usually quiet and don’t like to start problems, but she deserved to be put in her place. She’s a bully so beware. Management didn’t really do much when this was brought to their attention. One free private class was given and nicole couldn’t even apologize. She had management apologize for her.. she’s a coward. She’s brave enough to be sneaky and take you off the class, but too weak to approach you and say sorry. Her excuse was she was scared of my “threat”. All I said was “you’re lucky I didn’t show up expecting to be in the class today since you decided to take me off 2 hours before” no but seriously, what if I came to class and found out I was taken off the list without my consent? Did she think I was gonna skip with happiness out of there? I have no clue how people like this girl or how the hell she still works here. Paying money to get treated like this is ridiculous. I referred a few people here and they all have canceled as well. I have a few weeks left of my membership and I’m out and never looking back. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed Pilates, but I have decided to join another local non CP studio.

I recently joined Club Pilates in June and already feel results in this short amount of time. The workouts are efficient, effective, varied, and fun! The reformer and other equipment used are easy on muscles and joints. The instructors are fantastic and give personal attention to everyone in the class. The facility is clean, tranquil, and quiet which makes for a spa like experience!
