Company changes subscribers on the consistent basis you never speak with the same Dr for more than 2 months. This company is extremely unprofessional and doesnβt care about the clients who utilize their services.

PLEASE READ before making an appointment with Stress care of Matawan as it has become the most difficult office to deal with!!
I've been a patient myself on and off since the early 2000s and a current patient for the past 3 years... Last year I was able to get my 15yr old daughter an appointment who suffers from severe social anxiety.. It's become a struggle to get her out of the house to go anywhere!! School, store or even out with her friends..
On November 17th 2025 she had her first in-person visit with her psychiatrist who was also my doctor at the time and such an amazing doctor.. She filled out all the paperwork to start my daughter on home instruction for school so that she doesn't fall behind in high school. Not only did she fill out the paperwork and signed everything but then the front desk then stamped off on it as well!! When I made her next appointment it was with a new psychiatrist since our psychiatrist was leaving the practice. Which again the new psychiatrist is super nice and amazing!! The doctors there I can say that they truly care about the patients but it's like the higher ups seem to have their own rules and don't care if it effects and hurts their patients!! (Adult or youth)
Her home instruction was set from 11/17/25-1/12/26 in which on her follow-up appointment it will be determined if she is to continue or return to school. Her new psychiatrist on 2/3/25 had agreed until we find the right medicine and dose she is to remain on home instruction!!! THIS IS WHERE THE POOR CARE STARTS!!..
We need a new updated note so she can continue her school. It has been a struggle trying to get this note!! I was told that her psychiatrist can sign off on the paperwork but the front desk as to fill it out and stamped by the supervisor! Which never happened! Then I was told she can't be on home instruction because she needs a therapist first and the therapist has to fill out the paperwork.(which nj state law and school districts strictly states that only a licensed medical psychiatrist can sign off on the paperwork) She never had a therapist but they wanted me to drive almost an hour away knowing it's a struggle to get her there for an appointment with a therapist in the other office. After telling them that her first psychiatrist put her on home instruction they then told me that there is NO RECORD of her being put on home instruction!!!! At that point I sent them all the original paperwork!!! After that point I was then told to talk with her psychiatrist AGAIN which we did and still NOTHING!! Her psychiatrist did her job by caring for my daughter and also reaching out to let them know we STILL NEED THIS NOTE! She has had yet another follow-up still no note. I've call multiple times with the finger being pointed all over the office and left messages with no call back! The following dates are when Ive called them fighting for this note to continue her education!!!!
1/12/26, 1/20/26, 2/2/26, 2/25/26, 3/2/26, 3/3/26, 3/6/26, 3/11/26 and 3/16/26 ..... It's now 3/19/26 2months later and still no note nor response from the office.. She has another appointment on the 24th and I'm sure I'll get the same song and dance!! All I'm asking is to get the new paperwork done so my daughter can get her education while we work through her anxiety!!!!!
Years ago I would have highly recommended this office but since the past 2 years they have fallen apart and I would never ever want anyone to deal with all of this headache especially if it's their CHILD!

Stress Care is a very good program I am very satisfied with them
I either am 5 stars or close to it when I rate positive. Same goes for negative reviews. If I'm in between I could be misjudging the situation. I'm extremely critical Both good and Bad and honest with my reviews..
