Today (March 15) I visited LensCrafters at Livingston Mall in Livingston, NJ to exchange my glasses, and I had a wonderful experience.
The young man and the lady who helped me were both extremely kind, patient, and very professional. They took their time to assist me and made sure everything was just right. Their kindness and excellent customer service truly made my day.
Thank you both for your professionalism and for making my visit such a pleasant experience!
I had a wonderful experience at LensCrafters on Rt 10 in Livingston today. I visited the store and needed to replace my prescription sunglasses. Throughout the whole process, Kerri Garcia helped me. she was patient and kind and answered all my questions professionally and with expertise. I had discomfort with my pair of glasses and Kerri heard me and looked for ways to make all my concerns addressed. It felt right. It felt that Kerri was on my side in terms of health and also in terms of satisfaction with a new pair of glasses all around. I will definitely continue my relationships with LensCrafters. They always deliver. Thank you, LensCrafters for having such great employees who understand the value of great customer service. Miki
I have bought two pair of glasses for significantly higher price than my other pairs. After less than a year using them, the lenses started peeling and cracking. The filter they use on the plastic lens is such a low quality that I have never seen such a thing in my life before even after using the same pairs over 5 years. I have reached out to them on Facebook, they never responded. I tried to reach outon their website, it's not possible to send the message (it simply doesn't work to let you send the message). Overpriced for bad quality service. Attached some examples of what the lenses look like after 8 months of semi regular use (as these aren't my only pairs).

I've never had a problem with lenscrafters until yesterday 2/13/26. Come to find out, Lenscrafters is in the business of scamming. They tried to get an extra $219 out of me which made me angry. When they offer extra services to your glasses, if you say yes to anything, they automatically charge you the high standard option instead of giving you the choices of all three options, and making you aware of what your insurance fully covers. Now I already was aware that I could get progressive and transitional lens without coming out of pocket, so when they tried to throw a tab on me, I called my insurance company. Now I had her on speaker during the call, and the employee heard everything and he heard that my insurance covered the low standard in full. SOOO, then the employee still tried to get me for an additional $75. Long story short, I asked to speak to someone above him and it worked itself put. Lenscrafters, do better, train your employees better, and stop trying to get an extra few dollars out of people. Times are hard and tight, and not everyone walks into your establishment not knowing what their insurance covers.
Although the doctors were very responsible and professional (5-star for the clinical care), my overall experience was disappointing due to a lack of transparency around insurance and services.
When I called receptionist prior to my visit, I was told that my Cigna insurance was accepted. However, after completing the exam and being presented with the bill, I learned that the provider is actually out-of-network and not affiliated with LensCrafters. As a result, I was charged out-of-network rates, which was unexpected. (LensCrafter is my in-network provider).
More concerning is that despite not being affiliated with LensCrafters, the office still follows a policy of withholding the PD (pupillary distance) measurement unless glasses are purchased through LensCrafters. Since PD is part of the prescription needed to purchase glasses elsewhere, this felt restrictive and not patient-friendly.
Overall, while the medical care itself was good, I would recommend confirming network status and prescription details very carefully before your visit. It may not be worth it if you do not plan to purchase glasses through LensCrafters.
