  Dr. Chris is a Godsend! After 2 dentists left the area-1 moved to be closer to family and one retired, I was concerned about finding a dentist whom I could trust. And then came a welcomed glowing recommendation from a friend who also happens to be an orthodontist. Her recommendation was completely accurate. From the moment I was warmly welcomed into the office by Jamie at the Front Desk, I felt "at home." Dr. Chris spent some time getting to know me, and my concerns. He explained everything gently and made me feel calm, which is so appreciated, because I was apprehensive ahead of the first appointment. Dr. Chris was extremely gentle while working on my teeth. Because I needed to have some dental work completed ahead of my scheduled knee surgery, he and Jamie made certain that the work was finished prior to my upcoming surgery. If you are looking for a dental practice that is accommodating, caring and does amazing work, I can't recommend Orlando Family Dentistry enough! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

  Dr. Spelman was my dentist while I was attending grad school. When I first met him I needed a ton of work done, as I had something ridiculous like 11 cavities and a tooth that needed a crown. He is very kind and has a great bedside manner. He arranged his schedule so we could get a lot of work done in a few appointments, due to my school schedule. I have since moved away, but both dentists I have had since him have commented on how well he did with all my dental work saying it was exceptionally well done. He put a temporary crown on but I was unable to get the permanent one placed due to moving away. I have had routine dental care since then but never put the permanent crown on due to how well things were going. Well, it finally just broke, almost 15 years later, which is an incredible record per my current dentist 😆. The tooth underneath still looks fantastic. However, I am not advocating for leaving a temporary crown on for that long! Most importantly, he inspired me to take better care of my teeth, and I have had ZERO dental issues whatsoever since seeing him, other than the temporary crown finally breaking. That is the best thing he can do for a patient! My current dental team is great, but I would have no problems driving the 9 hours to his office to have him put the new crown on.

  This practice is hands down above five stars!!! Dr. Spelman is the best dentist I have ever been to. He treats you like family and spends time getting to know you, you’re not just another patient . He goes a above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and to give you the best possible pain free experience! This truly is a family owned practice not a money making corporation like the last two previous dentists who literally make up things that are wrong with your mouth just to make money. At this practice you will receive the best possible care, service, professionalism and an honest evaluation of the care you need. Thank you again, for making this such a great experience for me. I look forward to my next visit! I highly recommend this practice!

  I had an excellent first visit with Dr. Spelman and his team today at Orlando Family Dentistry. The office carries the feel of a small, family operated environment where everyone was friendly and in the know about what's happening with each patient. My dental hygienist was very cheerful and explained each process before it started. Overall, while I ended up needing to schedule additional procedures to keep my teeth in good health, I was happy to schedule it with them. Thanks for your help!
