I've been coming to this location for over a decade now for all kinds of labwork (and no, this is not my actual name - I'm not about to do that to myself).
Had I put in this review last year or earlier, it'd have been 5 stars.
But lately?
I've experienced incredibly long waits, even when I had a scheduled appointment (and the walk-in wait time? omg, absurd at times).
I've witnessed only one person coming in at 6am to open, do everything the facility needs to actually serve the patients waiting, and take said patients' samples, with other phlebotamists coming in considerably later, after a massive backup had already been created. If this was a one time thing, I would not have mentioned it here in this review, but twice in two months? Both times were 6AM arrivals. One was a walkin (I waited over an hour and a half to be taken back that day) and the other was a scheduled appointment (where I waited 45 minutes past my scheduled time before I was taken back). I had to take time off (which is limited and precious to me) of work because of both delays.
What saves this place? Why do I keep returning?
Because the phlebotamists are highly skilled and I've always been very difficult to get blood from. Here at Hamilton Quest, I typically only need a single attempt before they're able to get the necessary blood from me. I believe I've only been stuck 3 times ONCE, many years ago (and considering that other places I've been to have sent me home because they couldn't get blood from me, or stuck me 5... even 6 times before managing to get blood, 1-2 attempts is a godsend). Most of the staff are friendly enough, and pleasant to work with. But the wait times lately are absurd. I'm hoping with the new location, they are able to open on time with the right number of staff, and don't end up backed up like the last few times I've been there.
Hopefully they fix this issue soon. I'd love to go back when I could say this place earned a full five stars from me again.
