I just went in for a quick repair and was very lucky to be helped by Robert Gold. I was missing a nose pad, painful and annoying, and he fixed it in less then 5 minutes, cleaned my glasses and told me to have a good day. Next time I need anything I'm coming here.

Nicole at LensCrafters deserves praise for her customer service. She answered all of my questions and made it rather easy to place my lens order. I will be back to do business at the East Hanover location.

Disappointed with their appointment bookings.
I called in for a regular annual eye check up and got a slot for the same evening, which was 3 hours from when I called.
Took my daughter for her eye exam just to find that they charge additional $40 (after insurance. before insurance it was something like $175 or so) for some specialized devices they use to do eye checkup. I was not ready for this. I was fine with the regular eye exams which gets covered by my insurance.
But, I was not allowed to cancel as their cancellation policy states that I must cancel before 24 hours, or I pay $45. Considering that I booked appointment just a few hours ago, this policy seemed ridiculous.
Also, the front desk staff just stuck with the cancellation policy.
So, either ways, I was supposed to pay close to $50 no matter I take up or keep the appointment.
The testing itself was all machine driven. No dilation using drops. But, it was a regular checkup. And I expected a heads-up about the additional or hidden charges while booking an appointment.
Also, the collection of frames was not wide. For kids, they hardly had like 20-25 options.
Though the store is big and wide, the shelves are not tall. They were knee height, like show racks, rather than bookshelves.
I took my son to Target opticals - which was much better, cheaper, faster appointments, no hidden charges, better frame options, and also did not dilate the eyes using any drops like traditional testing. They did have fancy machines, but I can't speak which ones are better.
For a regular checkup, I will never visit this place. And will inform my friends to check specifically on such stuffs while booking with lens crafters.

The lady at the front is so rude. She never acknowledged us the whole time and when we finally asked about buying a pair she scoffed and said we needed an appointment. I asked if we can make one and she said they’re booked “for a while”. No real indication of what a while meant. Insane behavior. She made me feel bad about needing help. Maybe this is what we need as consumers to stop buying at the hand of the capitalists: the rudest person you’ve ever met standing between you and the point of purchase!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
