Since I had never been to YogaSix before, I signed up for the introductory offer on the website (first class for $10). I also booked a second class and paid the $35 drop-in fee. I later received a text asking if I wanted to purchase a $99 membership that was being offered as a promotion. I replied that I am only home for the holidays, no longer live in the area, and will be going on vacation, so I do not need a membership. After that, the $10 introductory class I had already booked was canceled because I am not a local resident. I was told that the $10 introductory offer is only for local guests, which is confusing, since I was physically in the area and specifically wanted to try the studio while I was home. This policy does not feel fair, and it seems the class was canceled because I declined the membership, even though I had already paid for a drop-in class the following day. If I had enjoyed the class, I would have continued to purchase drop-in classes while I was home, as I visit the area quite frequently. Unfortunately, this experience has discouraged me from doing so. I was really hoping to find a workout studio where I could attend drop-in classes during my visits home.
