  I visited the doctor’s office yesterday, and I was shocked by how much the practice has deteriorated. First, the office mistook me for another patient, and instead of my appointment being with Dr. Conti, as I had planned, I saw Dr. Hoye instead, since Dr. Conti was not in the office. I received no apology from either the staff or Dr. Hoye for their mistake. Second, there was the usual confusion about health insurance coverage. I have Medicare with Medigap coverage. The office seemed to not understand this concept, and I had to explain three times that my primary coverage was Medicare and my secondary coverage was Medigap. I presented both medical cards to the office for photocopying. They forgot to return them to me and I had to ask before I left for them to be returned. I then finally got to see Dr. Hoye, and the first thing he asks me is what is my primary insurance! Have these people never heard of Medicare? Do they not know how Medicare works with Medigap? Needless to say, this will be my last visit to Dr. Conto’s office. What a terrible experience.

  As others have also noted, it's next to impossible to schedule an appointment. I tried for over a week, calling at various hours of the day, and nobody answers the phone. I left a message for a call back and nobody ever called. The ironic part is that Dr. Hoye had asked me to come back for a follow-up visit. I guess they just don't want to stay in business.

  My family has been patients at Conti for several years due to its proximity to our home. While our experiences with the doctor have been ok, scheduling appointments has been challenging. The office hours are limited, and it's often difficult to reach someone by phone for appointments or urgent matters. Additionally, the nurses can be less than helpful, seeming impatient when answering questions or providing explanations. If I were to find a suitable alternative closer to home, I would consider switching.

  Don’t try to schedule online. My husband has been a patient here since he was a kid, I have been seen by them for nearly 10 years. Scheduled an appointment last week, took a day off of work, drove an hour there. Office staff claimed they do not offer online scheduling but we’re aware it was on the website. They then went on the website and verified online scheduling-they even scheduled a test appointment. Refused to even attempt to accommodate us claiming if they didn’t call to confirm then we should have known it wasn’t booked. We were certainly willing to wait if needed since we came such a long way, but staff offered no assistance. Time to go somewhere else.
