An amazing place that truly understands how important their product is to their customers lives. I ordered the glasses on Wednesday and the glasses were in Saturday and that’s because I changed the color on the frame. Never felt so good to make a purchase on something soooooo important. Their management’s focus on supply change is what makes this company shine.

I visited the store to look at Prada frames and was surprised by the lack of customer service. Although I was the only customer, the two associates did not greet me or offer assistance, and continued their personal conversation without acknowledging me. After trying to browse on my own for about 10 minutes, I decided to visit Warby Parker instead, where I received friendly and helpful service.

Ashley, Dave and Dr Mandeville were over the top wonderful! Years ago I had a horrible experience elsewhere for contact lenses. Ashley and Dr Mandeville were so helpful and most importantly patient. I was so satisfied that I bought a new pair of glasses. Dave helped me out big time!

We had a very disappointing experience with Nico, one of the sales associates. She was extremely rude to both me and my daughter. Nico couldn’t answer basic questions about frame options and immediately directed us toward the most expensive choice, claiming their 50% off promotion was still better than our insurance. Even after applying insurance, the total came out to nearly $250. When I asked to see an itemized bill, she initially told me it was a bundled package and couldn’t be broken down. I had to insist before she finally showed me the details (between sighing heavily and telling me multiple time it was part of a package). When I began asking about removing certain add-ons and what each charge was for, she became visibly annoyed and dismissive. I requested that any unnecessary charges be removed, but instead of helping, she continued to act irritated that I was asking questions. I also made it clear that I wanted to use our insurance and asked her to confirm if she didn’t know something with someone else. She handed me the heaviest frame even though I told her that I had returned glasses at another facility because that exact frame did not fit my daughter’s face. I ended up choosing a frame myself from one of the drawers as she was not being helpful at all. Overall, the service was unprofessional and dismissive and blatanty racist, and I left feeling extremely frustrated and concerned about how customers are being treated, especially in front of their children. Because I had already visited so many other places without success and my daughter liked the frame I picked out for her, I chose to overlook Nico’s behavior and went ahead with the order. However, as we were leaving, my daughter became visibly upset. Once in the car, she asked me, “Why was that lady so mean to us? Is it because we’re not white?” Hearing that from my child broke my heart. It deeply upset me that even she sensed the discrimination. At that moment, I realized I couldn’t stay silent — no one else should have to go through what we experienced!!! Nico's behavior was so upsetting that both my daughter and I were in tears. I decided to return to the store and speak with the manager, David. He was apologetic and tried to make things right by offering to upgrade the lenses. David assured me that I would be reimbursed $50 once the glasses were picked up which he did reimburse me as I picked up the glasses yesterday. However, both my daughter and I were anxious to go to the store to pick up the glasses. I had to wait until my husband was home to come with us and it was extremely disappointing to see Nico still being there. Instead of going to Nico, we walked up to David who proceeded to tell us to go to the other desk, upon seeing who we were, he decided to change his mind and helped us and reimburse the $50 as promised. While I do appreciate David’s efforts to resolve the issue, the fact remains that Nico should not be working in a customer-facing role. She appeared disinterested, irritated, and completely unfit for a position that requires empathy and communication. Her treatment of us was racist, unkind, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable. I visited Warby Parker in Tuscan Village right after picking up my daughter’s glasses and ordered my own glasses from them. The service was superb at Warby Parker compared to Lenscrafters. They answered all my questions patiently, handed me multiple options for frames and suggested what would look good on me. The pricing was siginificantly less and they would replace/fix the glasses without the additional $35 fee for warranty Lenscrafters is charging. What an absolute nightmare Lenscrafters is due to employees like Nico and their high prices. David did a great job trying to salvage the relationship but people like Nico should not be in customer service roles. They are bringing your company down! You should learn how to treat people from Warby Parker employees.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
