  This is two fold. Knowing majority of office staff is utmost important to the in the field staff. For their clients and for the clients family as well. At any time of 7 days a week they are there to reach, including after hours. Very reassuring for families and clients. Second and just as important are the in the field staff. In the field they help with housework, showers, meals, doctor appointments, labs, grocery shopping. When possible we bring them for rides, or dine out or maybe a museum. Each staff person are licensed and insured to drive. We are always communicating. We are trained to watch for changes. We observe, and ask our clients how can we help. NO ONE is before our clients.   I’ve worked for Home Instead for almost 2 years now. I’ve really enjoyed my job as a care professional! It’s a privilege and an honor to get to know each one of my clients and their families while providing patience, plenty of assistance with daily tasks, as well as emotional and physical support. I’m grateful for how flexible scheduling is and genuinely just how kind the office staff is when answering any questions or concerns I may have. To wrap it all up, this job has been a true blessing!

  Home Instead has been such a gift to our family. When we first started looking for help for my dad, we were nervous about bringing someone new into their home. But from the very beginning, Steven was kind, understanding, and patient with us. Our caregiver has become like part of the family. They help with everything we need — and they sit and talk, laugh with dad, and they truly care. He needs that almost as much as he needs the medical stuff. It’s such a relief to know my dad is in good hands, especially on the days I can’t be there myself. I know it's normal to feel caregiver burnout, but when you're in the middle of it, it feels so horrible.   When my husband had his stroke last year, our whole world shifted. I was trying to do meals, meds, bathing, physical therapy at home by myself, but it was just too much. A friend recommended Home Instead, and honestly, it’s been the best decision we’ve made. Our caregiver team has become part of our rhythm. They’re kind, patient, professional and know exactly how to help without making my husband feel like she’s lost his independence. Home Instead has given me room to breathe again. I can run errands, take a shower, or just sit on the porch with a cup of coffee without worrying if my he is okay. The office has been so kind, too. They actually listen and check in to make sure things are going smoothly and adapt quickly and responsively when things change . It doesn’t feel like a big agency, it feels personal. I never thought we’d need help like this, but I’m so glad we asked and got our routine set up. It’s made a hard season of life a lot more manageable. Thank you greatly to the team at Home Instead.

  We’ve been using Home Instead in Portsmouth, NH for the past several months to support my mom, who’s living with early-stage dementia, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. From day one, the team took the time to really understand her needs, preferences, and personality. Her caregiver, Susan, has been a true gift. She doesn’t just show up to do a job, she brings warmth, patience, and kindnes into every visit. She helps with meal prep, walks with my mom in the neighborhood, keeps her on track with medications, and more importantly, they’ve developed a real friendship that’s brought joy back into my mom’s day-to-day life. The Portsmouth office staff (especially Shelby and Sarah) have been incredibly responsive and easy to work with. Whether it's adjusting the schedule with Jen, answering questions, or just checking in, they’ve always made me feel supported and in the loop. As someone who lives out of state, it brings me so much peace of mind knowing my mom is not just safe but truly cared for and connected. I honestly can't imagine a better team.
