  Came over here from Walgreen's because they didn't have a med i needed, liked it so much I decided to stay, they treat you like family and are hardly busy.

  I've been using the Hannaford Pharmacy on Hanover Street, Manchester for the last 3 years. In the last year, I have become what you might call a "frequent flyer." I have always been treated well. The pharmacist (I'm sorry I don't know his name) has always been willing to take the time to explain a medication and to check for any issues a new medication might present with my other meds. A recent incident I want to share will give you an idea of how well I'm treated. Recently, the pharmacist spotted me in the grocery section, and said they had my prescription but he wanted to let me know they were going to lunch if I was planning to get it at that time. He didn't want me waiting around in the store all that time until they opened again. I thanked him and told him I wasn't planning on getting it that day because I still had some left. I thought that was very thoughtful. I'm sure there are people who think they shouldn't have a lunch break. When dealing with certain drugs, I'm sure the pharmacist wants to be there instead of letting the clerk handle serious questions. And the clerks have been courtieous, too. I think if you treat working people with respect, you will be treated well. I think they probably treat everyone well regardless. I'm a retired teacher, so I know the difference it makes when you are treated with respect.
