Was fitted for contacts last week. First-timer. I’d had better than 20/20 for over 50 years then started wearing “cheaters” about five years ago and grew tired of them. Went to an ophthalmologist for a full eye exam and they said if I wanted to get contacts I could and no problems with my eyes so I set up an appointment with Klein optical. They were friendly and answered all of my questions. I’m a week in and went back today because I didn’t feel they were quite correct. They asked me a few question, did a re-exam at no charge and adjusted one lens and sent me home with more contact solution at no charge. My eyes are recalibrating from having the others in for a week but the upgraded prescription seems better and I’m happy to not have to hunt for my glasses to read my clock. Thank you.

An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What is involved in an eye exam?
An eye exam involves a series of simple but comprehensive tests that allow your optometrist to assess your vision and your eye health. Your optometrist will discuss the results of your eye exam with you and determine the right prescription to help you to see your best.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
Why should I get an eye exam at Dr. Amy Klein's clinic?
An annual eye exam at Dr. Amy Klein's clinic not only updates your glasses or contact prescription but also detects eye health and general health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure early for timely treatment.
