The associate that assisted me with checking in and my contacts was very kind And helpfulbut the eye doctor screwed my prescription up badly. They had my vision self correcting by almost a whole point in one eye, and now when I try to drive down the road in my new contacts, it’s so disorienting and I’m unable to wear them. Thank God, I didn’t go back and order any and I’m not out that amount

I have been to this location twice now and both times were a pleasant experience. Today I had a phenomenal experience, specifically with the staff at this location.
Lindsay, Priscilla, and Jenn were professional and friendly; but they were also amazing help in every step of my visit.
I have worn glasses for 10 years and today’s visit was the best experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this store, but especially the team members mentioned were extraordinary!!!

I am extremely disappointed with the experience my wife had at this location. When she called ahead, the receptionist clearly told her that the eye exam would be $25 with their Cigna discount program. What they failed to mention—and only revealed after she completed the exam—was that the $25 price only applies if you purchase frames from them. Because she didn’t intend to buy frames, they suddenly raised the cost of the visit to $80 at checkout.
This kind of misleading pricing and lack of upfront communication is unacceptable. My wife is eight months pregnant, and the surprise charge combined with the dismissive attitude she received left her so upset that she walked out of the store in tears. No one, let alone someone who is visibly pregnant, should be treated this way.
We expected honesty and transparency, and instead we were met with deceptive practices and zero compassion. We will not be returning, and I strongly recommend that others be cautious before choosing this location.

The 2nd half of the exam was virtual. She was very hard to understand. After waiting 2 weeks, I could not see through either pair. Odd, when I took them back, He did not question me as to why I wanted my money back or that they could fix the problem. Probably because they would go back overseas to wherever & come back the same. Got my money back. Bad experience. Learned lesson! But the employees were all nice & professional.

(Will edit when I receive my glasses and can speak to their accuracy!)
Visited here for my first eye exam on a whim, since I don't have much free time or accessible optometry. I saw a lot of really wonderful reviews for their customer service and hospitality, and man they are NOT kidding. I understand why people wrote glowing reviews for that aspect alone even if they rated this location low.
The people here are wonderful, incredibly kind and accommodating even when my appointment meant running a bit past close (which, my bad honestly for scheduling the last one of the day, but it was the only time I could make for the foreseeable future ): ) Never did I feel like I wasn't allowed to say no or discuss my options, and they were personable in a way that wasn't so clinical that I was nervous about just getting it over with and out.
I've seen people accuse Stanton Optical locations of upselling or bait and switch, but in my experience they were relatively willing to work within a price point. They checked to see what cost they could get for a pair of glasses, and got it down within what I could afford even for a pair not typically part of their popular promotion.
Overall, in terms of the eye exam itself, it was a little odd to do virtually but it wasn't anything to complain about, it was relatively straightforward and the person administering it was professional. Just the part involving reading letters and testing lens is administered by the virtual optometrist, imaging of the eye and all that is done by the workers themselves.
All of this to say, my visit was INCREDIBLY friendly and very professional, and everyone was quite wonderful to interact with.
I'm not great with names, and was a little frazzled as this was a new experience, but whoever was working last shift on 9/30 was killing it. :)
