Overall good experiences so far at this facility.
I needed a new doctor and chose Dr. Horan. Due to the growing population, the earliest was 2 months. Pleasant front desk staff and only waited 10 minutes to see Dr. Horan.
He was very nice and asked good questions. He listened when I talked and gave appropriate feedback. We set up an appt for bloodwork and later Annual Exam. He said I can call his nurse or himself if I ever have concerns and they will respond quickly.
I went today for my bloodwork. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The ladies were pleasant and the nurse that took my blood was very nice. She put me at ease and didn't hurt when taking blood . I'm very satisfied so far.

Terrible company. Corporate ruined the company. They don’t care about you, they just do the bare minimum and check the boxes. If you care about yourself, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that cares more.

I am not surprised that they have MANY 1 star reviews. The front desk staff & NP Jennifer Blondin both are amazing & friendly. Jennifer has wonderful beside manners and actually listens to you. NP Kathleen Riley & Dr Troy Horan- I couldn’t say the same. I haven’t even seen Dr Horan in person yet, only the NPs and from our phone call I can already tell… we would not have been a good match, I would probably still be in pain & I would be left wondering what is going on and how do I fix these issues. I whole heartedly believe that from our 5 min phone call. He interrupts you while speaking and has absolutely 0 consideration to the fact that people take their medical care seriously and when HIS OFFICE is lying to you on the phone and one person is saying on thing and not even 5 mins later another person is saying something different, when HIS OFFICE is writing incorrect information on my medical records, that’s not acceptable. Also Dr Horan, it’s comical of you to call someone about them having a “slight attitude” because their HEALTH isn’t being taken seriously all while having an attitude on the phone yourself 😂 Dr Horan, have you never heard treat others the way you want to be treated? I have continued to be lied to and have false information written about my medical history. Do you find that respectful?
NP Kathleen Riley does not listen to you. It was very clear and evident of that in my after care summary. This is where the majority of my frustration stemmed from today. The amount of inaccurate information listed on my aftercare summary ALONG WITH the fact that I was told a referral to Duke Endocrinology would be sent that day (1 week ago) and it was not (per mychart & per the first person i spoke with on the phone in their office today). I would attach my mychart messages I sent to them earlier but I’m not sure if there’s a legal reprocussion for that. That is the ONLY reason why I am not attaching it along with the false aftercare summary & screenshots of proof that the “referrals” I was told were sent were being sent actually were not.
Long story short- there are TONS of primary care doctors in Wilmington. Novant has a bad reputation for a reason. There is a reason why people specifically ask and travel to Duke for anything serious. The only reason I even came to this office to begin with is due to the fact that I was in the hospital in July and that is where they told me to go. I should have trusted my gut. I knew better. I knew the type of care I would receive from a Novant ran location. I blame myself for even giving them the opportunity.
If you DO NOT want to be cared for properly, if you want your medical records to be incorrect (the aftercare summary & visit), if you want to deal with doctors that clearly do not have good bedside manners, good phone manners, can’t listen to you because they are too busy interrupting you with what THEY have to say when you are trying to express your concerns, then this is the office for you! If you do not take your health seriously, this is the office for you! If you have medical issues like high blood pressure & it’s probably wise to keep your stress down so it doesn’t rise, but your medical office does everything in its power to raise it, this is the office for you!
Trust. Your. Gut.
Doctor Troy Horan: -100/10
Kathleen Riley, NP: 0/10
Jennifer Blondin: 8/10 - only deducted 2 points bc she is affiliated with Novant and could do better. She should be at a facility where patients have complete trust but unfortunately that’s not the case.

Not a primary care patient here, just wanted to write this review for all of the ladies in the lab. Had to make an appointment for lab work here, (3hr GTT, if you know, you know 🥴) these ladies took absolute great care of me. The test makes you feel terrible, they had a private place you could lay down. Gave an ice pack, a fan, they kept check on me. They turned on Pbs kids for my young child who had to wait in the lobby, gave her some goldfish crackers. Out of my entire pregnancy with routine visits, I feel like these ladies are the only ones who have truly shown compassion and empathy. So, thank y'all!!!
