  My referral was placed to this office due to my insurance. Luckily, because my referral was urgent they were able to get me in within a couple of weeks in a cancellation spot. Other than that, they didn’t have an opening for three more months. The nurse practitioner I saw was amazing. Her name is Katie Brock. I recommend you try and get in with her if you can she is thorough and took her time. The MA Zandra was so incredibly sweet, but other than those two staff members that I saw the whole entire office and its workflow is a complete disaster. Coming from someone in healthcare this is by far the most chaotic office I have ever seen. The lady at the endoscopy front desk is probably the rudest reception staff I have ever met across all Novant offices. I witnessed her short temper with multiple different patients and again with me when I asked to drop off a lab sample the next day. I was then forced to drop off the specimen at an outpatient lab and was billed for an additional appointment at the outpatient lab because only the lab tech was able to take my specimen when I came to drop it off and she was at lunch and wouldn’t be back for an hour and a half. The wait times for colonoscopies and endoscopies are out of this world. This office needs to have way better organization, and respect.

  I went there today for my first proceedure as I am now 51. I was very anxious over the process. Rebecca my nurse was awesome and very reassuring and friendly. Dr Opper and Kelly explained the sedation and procedure process letting me know exactly what to expect. The procedure was quick and painless. I woke up to Lauren who was very attentive and funny. I cannot say enough about this team. They are top notch professionals.

  I know the medical world is a mess but my experience is beyond just a "mess". My first visit took over 6 months to schedule because they continued to loose the referral paperwork. Finally get an appointment and show up just to have the doctor tell me I need updated labs because they are too old. Of course they are, I waited 6 months to see you. So waste of time first visit. On second visit I waited in the room for over 1 hour. When I enquired at the front desk on where the doctor was they claimed that they should be in the room and asked was i sure there was no one in the room with me. What? I think I would know if there was someone in the room with me. Finally get my test results back and they call me to push up my review appointment saying it is urgent to talk to me. So I am worried for 4 days only to find out the results are completely clear. Now they are saying that the co-pay I paid at both visits was for the incorrect amount and are threating to send me to collections. This office is the ABSOLUTE WORSE. Go anywhere else possible but here. Any care I get in the future will not be with Novant Health. Novant Health = No Health. It is fitting that Nova in spanish means no go because this is exactly what care you receive.
