AAASF Surgical Suite The operating suite at the Summit office in Wilmington is nationally accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAASF). We were the first in Wilmington to have this important distinction demonstrating that we maintain the highest quality of patient care. Our operating suite meets the stringent national standards for equipment, operating room safety protocols, certified personnel and credentialing as set forth by the AAAASF. CLIA Certified Mohs Lab For your convenience and to ensure the very best outcome from your cancer surgery, the Summit has CLIA certified Mohs labs in Wilmington and Supply. Our board certified dermatologist is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. This means that your pathology specimen is prepared in our CLIA certified lab and is being read under the microscope at the time of your surgery. This methodical process in which tissue is removed and examined, has the highest cure rate for skin cancer removal.

    Thought I was not going to get an appointment till next year! But thanks to Rachel I got in the very next day. Dr. Shedlofsky was so welcoming & friendly. She addressed my concerns & I left feeling much better about things. The staff is courteous & helpful. Would highly recommend Summit Plastic Surgery & Dermatology!

    For the last couple years, I have been seeing PAs at the Supply NC location For skin evaluations and health. We have moved and I had my first appointment with a real doctor Dr DeVries in Pittsboro, North Carolina at the Central Dermatology office. Right away he identified multiple. PRECANCEROUS Locations on my face that he wants to treat. The SUMMIT clinicians never said anything and these locations are quite visible. Don’t waste your time going to the PAs! I can have cancer on my face without treatment if I had wasted my time at SUMMIT in Supply NC. Make sure you see a doctor and not a PA, so many of these dermatologists now focus on cosmetic treatment where they can make a lot of money.

    My first visit with Dr. SHEDLOFSKY: very pleased. Dr. Shedlofsky was knowledgeable and thorough, open in explanations and information, personable and patient. The office experience and personnel also pleasant and calm.
