  The Novante Cancer Institute in Thomasville with Dr Charles Agbamabeise is awesome. They treated my brother with the utmost loving care. The Dr was very careful & tender with my brother when he told him that he has cancer. He took time with my brother & explained things & allowed him to asked questions & answered his questions. I loved the way Dr Charles took so much tender loving time with my brother & how concerned he was for him. We really like Dr Charles & his staff. I highly recommend Dr Charles.

  BEFORE you go to this place, please READ! IT IS LONG, BUT IT IS IMPORTANT. I AM SAVING YOU. If I could give them a 0 star, I would! I feel cheated! My husband got charged almost $1700 for blood tests from Novant when the tests were actually performed by LabCorp for around $300! Instead of letting LabCorp bill our insurance directly, they requested that bill to be sent to them and charged us as Novant hospital rate (then billed our insurance after) which is almost $1400 more than when LabCorp billed our insurance directly. LabCorp's price for those tests were only $300 with insurance! Why would I ask them to use LabCorp in the first place, if they're going to send that lab bill to the hospital instead? They also charged us facility fee without letting us know that it is a hospital-based when we asked. My husband and I are very proactive when it comes to seeing doctors, so we always ask questions in advance. The people there told us they did not know about the billing, so how would you expect a patient to know? They charged us a facility fee for being in the clinic room with the doctor for 10 minutes as "hospital treatment room". This is ridiculous. If they really want to do that, at least they need to be transparent to the patients when they ask! It took me more almost 2 months to fight for this, but I won't give up. When I first called the billing, they told me this clinic has started to charge as hospital rate. But you can't just charge for what you did not do! It took me countless days on phone back and forth with this Novant Cancer and Novant Hospital. With the help of my insurance and LabCorp, I am able to get it billed by LabCorp now which is 5 times cheaper! $1700 to $300 for the same tests! Could you believe what they just did? They might have done this to the other patients for awhile, but this time they got the wrong person. I am not sure if this billing practice applies to the other Novant Clinics, but please please watch out!
