- AKAbdul Wahab KhayatFeb 17, 20261.0This is highly unprofessional company , stay away!! Don't be fooled by the initial lower cost you will pay the difference eventually . First of all they made a mistake with the design , never shared the final design and they will not own up to their mistake . They are asking me to pay 2300 on top of the 18000 I have already paid to have the chair rail extended at the top as I initially requested and on top of that they will need to remove the top part rendering the chair unusable for many weeks . Secondly the chair stops numerous times when called by the remote , it has been weeks since I requested this to be addressed and all i hear are promises with no action taken . Very frustrated with this company and about to do a BBB compalint

This was the place she was referred to months ago, and she can't even get in touch with anyone about here wheelchair order. They never answer their phone and they never return messages. We've submitted a complaint with the BBB about this.

To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
