  My husband is detained for a dwi and wanted to attend a group for addiction to alcohol. He has taken court-ordered classes and wanted to attend more sessions by himself. It was told to this place from get go he was detained and where he was being held at. Well apparently this isn't allowed bc of him being in a different state currently which is so odd because online counseling has become quite a popular thing. Anyways the apt was set for 2pm with randee conn. I get a call at 10 30am?? asking for my husband I told them he's detained the receptionist knew this from get go. I repeatedly got ask why choose here he can find somewhere else an THEN THE conversation went to " so why now that he's detained does he want treatment, I find that odd" I was ask this 2x. Isn't being detained basically rock bottom for som people not all but some. Being a recoerin addict myself on mat programs I was disgusted at this question. So be aware if the find "your timing to get help" odd they will have somethin to say. i can't believe this ldy works as a addiction counselor. No respect what so ever. Also to add the receptionist wanted payment yesterday. Payment for somethin the can't even do cording to the counselor.

  Excellent Place! I would give 10 stars if I could. I had an appointment the same week. Even though my insurance wouldn't cover the initial doctor visit it was still affordable being self pay. I had been looking for a facility for weeks with no luck due to cost of services at other places. But I left today after my visit with prescriptions needed to help aid in my treatment and recovery. Dr. Sandy is the real deal! She's not in it for the $. She is there to really help people. I highly recommend this place! Ms. Kim was super efficient in the whole intake process and was on top of things and responded quickly. Thanks to all that work there that made this process so easy and comfortable.

  I contacted First Services in order to get help with my anxiety that's causes addiction. As someone suffering with these illnesses its very important that the medical staff is prompt and attentive in order for treatment to be effective. This is not the case at First Steps. When I scheduled my first assessment appointment I had to call the office 15 min late to confirm if that counselor was still keeping my appointment, it was only then that the counselor called; Not a big deal so I continued, and agreed to be evaluated next by the psychiatric. That appointment was scheduled for 10 am. Same thing, I waited until 10:30 this time before calling the office to find out what happened to my appointment. I called a total of TWELVE times at all 3 phone numbers provided from 10:30 to 1:30 pm until finally someone answered at the Cary site. By this time I was so upset I just asked to cancel everything all together so I could find a facility that actually cares about the patients and will actually show up to the appointments that they make you PRE PAY for. So $75 right down the drain and no help at all. If anything they discouraged me even more from seeking help because of how careless they act.
