  I am an active lady who had an unexpected knee replacement. After a few rough days post op, my knee was very swolllen, I saw Shannon M, PT. on my first day of Physical therapy. The first thing she said to me after my initial evaluation and measurements was " you are my worse client" and " I have 80 year olds doing better than you" My sister was standing there and was shocked she spoked like that to me. I was already struggling and hearing that made me feel worse. I should have immediately requested a new PT or new service but I did not have to pay out of pocket and it got me out of the house so I kept going once a week doing the same exercises for 11 weeks. After that day though, I refused to listen to her, or rely on her " expertise" and did my own research to improve my recovery. The next 11 weeks I followed an online Doctor of Physical Therapist's recovery program 😉. I did exercises at home Shannon never introduced to me. I also weaned MYSELF off the walker and cane. If I waited for her to decide when to stop using my walker, my recovery would have dragged out unnecessarily. I did mention to the surgeon my hurt and anger with her words, as we rely on Physical therapy to recover after surgery. He said " Shannon is being tough" NO , Shannon was being mean and very unprofessional. Some people just aren't ment to be healers or maybe she just hates her job. Idk. I'm thankful I did not rely on her during my recovery and found other means to improve. The other PT assistants I worked with when she was busy or not there were great. I would never, ever use Shannon again, or this facility. Do yourself justice, read reviews and find another Physical Therapy facility.

  DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!! Was 17min late for an appointment due to an accident on the highway and was told i was past the 15 miniute cut off. I explained I called and told them I was going to be late and was told ok but her only response was "it's a call center so that's not our problem". I wouldn't have kept driving from marshville to pineville if I was told no. 2 other patients were also denied and told the same speech. If this is who/how they run there front desk I definitely will NOT BE RESCHEDULING. UNPROFESSIONAL BY FAR...btw it's January 5th take down your gaudy Christmas decorations.

  I did receive satisfactory pt from Pineville 2 years ago, but the current state of this facility is far from what it was. It's been a month and a half since I've even seen the head trainer, always stuck with the assistant. The pace of introductions to new exercises is incredibly slow. Two sessions ago I was introduced to two new exercises, my last session just one. This facility has fallen far from what it used to be.

  I cannot express how frustrating it is to live with chronic back pain. I went 9 months of losing hope because the PT exercises and (two) steroid injections weren't helping at all. I actually took a mental health break from my DR and PT for several months because I was experiencing zero improvement and spending way too much $$. I then made an appointment with a private PT outside of the Ortho Carolina network. I was shocked that with the very first appointment I had relief from my back pain. My current PT performed stretches in my leg muscles because they were extremely tight. I still don’t understand why the Ortho Carolina PT didn’t test to see if my leg muscles were tight which can be a major cause of back pain.

  I went for hand pain and stiffness. Had an x-ray and the tech was very nice. Basically, I was told by Dr. Osier that not much can be done. The visit went well except the doctor pushed down on my hand, asking where my hand hurt, leaving the area pretty tender, even today. Other then that can't say it was a bad visit but no therapy recommend which I was hoping for.
