I was an existing patient and scheduled my annual appointment for an available 9AM time slot. I let my prescription run out since I had an appointment scheduled. I was receiving the usual appointment confirmation texts and emails. I noticed at one point that the time had changed to 2:30. No call, no contact from anyone. I called to reschedule it for another 9AM a couple of weeks later. I received all the usual texts and confirmations all over again. So after taking the time off work, I show up at 8:40 and wait outside the office. They saw me and pulled up the gates at 8:55. They handed me the paperwork to complete and then told me “oh and the Dr won’t be in until 9:30”. I told them I would find another doctor. It’s up to you but I’m done with their ineptness and lack of respect for my time.

I was coming in for an eye exam and to get my new glasses like I’ve done before with my wife and father in law. We walked in and had a very pushy and nosey associate walk up to us ( idk her name but she has a British accent) and proceed to try and “help” us but I already knew which ones I liked and would’ve wanted. My wife and my father in law walk out to go out of the store since it was really warm in there. She proceeds to ask me in a very narcissistic manner “is that your wife” I answer yes and then proceeds to disrespect my wife by then asking “is there her brother.” I have never in my life would’ve expected that coming from a person who is supposed to be getting my glasses and frames ready for me. That was my mistake for not getting up and leaving. But then proceeded to ask me 4-5 times about the $10 shipping fee for delivery and looking at us like we couldn’t afford it. If I am there for glasses and an eye exam and I don’t have a problem already paying $500 for my items, why in the world would I care about $10 for shipping. Not only did she then ask us about a coupon from the mail which we didn’t have because we didn’t care to grab it or need it, then proceeds to say “it’s fine that SHE forgot it.” I’m letting you all know now that I will personally more then likely ever return to this location just from this employee who had the gall to act entitled and above us because she wanted to try and take jabs at my wife and cut daggers at her the entire time. Either fix this or expect more people to never return. If I could I’d give this zero stars.

Had the pleasure of being helped by Rayanne. I explained what I have for frames, and what I was looking for, and she was able to bring me right to where I needed to be. She explained options and pricing, and made sure the fit was what I wanted. I'll be going back for sunglasses next.

They are located INSIDE the mall on the FIRST FLOOR next to BELK. The open BEFORE alot of the other shops the mall so you can go in early and beat the crowd. Everytime ive come to this lens crafters ive been absolutely floored at their customer service and attention to detail. Staff was very nice and the actual eye exam process was super quick. Just a little frustrating since I had an appointment for 12:45 and walk ins were being done before me so I didn't start the eye exam until 1:25. 40 minutes after my initial appointment was set. Not the end of the world but it would be nice if they specified that or even if they could text me when to come back so I could go walk around the mall while waiting. They also had this lady who's with a company for glasses trying so hard to convince us to get glasses even tho the other people literally had glasses on their face and I told her I wear lenses and she still was trying to get me to buy glasses. Just annoying when you have to wait 40 mins for an appointment and then some salesperson is bothering you while you wait.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
