We miss Oceanside, unfortunately we are very disappointed with the changeover to kidzcare. The front staff seem to have no organization. There is a lot lacked since the switch... but what topped it for me was they have failed to reach out to schedule my daughter's annual visit. Oceanside would have always remained on top of this. We hope they try to improve since we had once loved this place and my daughter loved her NP. Needless to say, we will be changing providers.

Update: My child's insurance is changing the first of next month so we decided to change his PCP due to issues detailed in my previous review. But today I called to have him seen because he's sick they made him an appointment but then called back saying they can't see him because they've already transferred his records to his new PCP's office in their system even though I'd had conversations with the Office Manager that the transfer date would be 3/1. So, off to Urgent Care we go. I'd NEVER RECOMMEND this practice to anyone! We miss Dr. Kiluk and his team!!!!! Original review: My child had been a patient at Oceanside Pediatrics since he was a newborn. Dr. Kiluk sold his practice to KidzCare Pediatrics and retired in November 2025. KidzCare has been a bad transition for us. First, they didn't call us to schedule my child's annual physical (like we're accustomed to being done, so it's a good thing I called). Today we had a regular monthly medication check scheduled with Ms. Hailey (which we cut our Christmas family vacation short to make) only to be told when we arrived that Ms. Hailey can't prescribe ADHD medications. After three people explained the situation (which was understood the first time) we still don't have a resolution and my child has finals in a couple of weeks and needs the medications. This transition was obviously very poorly planned! They're saying that there won't be a provider to write ADHD medications until late March 2026! Absolutely unacceptable. We're planning to switch providers.

Jennifer Hernandez has been phenomenal with the care that she has given to my little ones who have been with the practice for two years.

I recently moved to Morehead City, and finding a new pediatrician for my children was both intimidating and scary. When I first called the office to see if they were accepting new patients, a lady named Jiavanna was incredibly polite and patient. She walked me through the medical release process, which I had no idea about, and made everything so easy to understand.
When our appointment day arrived, I was still a bit nervous — but as soon as I walked in, the girls at the front desk greeted me with such warmth and kindness. It instantly made me feel like I was back at my old pediatric office. One of the girls had a question and went to get their manager — and that’s when I got to meet Jiavanna in person! She immediately introduced herself and kindly explained why she was helping. It’s rare to find that kind of leadership and involvement.
As for the visit itself, our pediatric nurse was absolutely amazing. I can’t tell you how much I actually enjoyed being there — and I normally despise doctor’s offices! The education, kindness, empathy, and cheerful environment from everyone made such a lasting impression. Really the only negative thing I would say about this place is it’s not very exciting in the waiting room lotta doll paint kind of boring rooms.
If anyone is looking for a pediatric office for their children, this is a five-star experience, hands down. You all are truly amazing, and I’m so grateful for how comfortable you made us feel.
