  Decided to share my review since I believe there’s not enough good things said about this office. I’ve been taking my daughter here since she was born. I have always had amazing care & treatment here. We see Amy Moore & she’s very knowledgeable & truly listens. I use the online chat to ask questions all the time & they follow up quickly. I would recommend this office. 5 stars all around!!

  If I could give zero stars, I would. I scheduled a kindergarten health assessment for my son and, like many parents juggling real life, we ran a few minutes behind. I did the responsible thing and called ahead, only to be met with a very short, unkind response about their “15-minute grace period.” We rushed in and arrived right at that 15-minute mark. I signed him in, apologized, and thought we were okay. Mind you, there was only ONE other family in the waiting room. Instead of showing even an ounce of flexibility, the front desk told me they had to “check with the doctor.” They came back and refused to see my child. When I questioned if this was seriously over being right at (or maybe a minute over) the grace period, I was told we were taking time away from patients who “honor their appointments.” That comment alone told me everything I needed to know about how this office views families. Let’s be clear—this is a pediatric office. You work with children and parents. Life happens. Things run late. If you don’t have the patience or basic kindness to handle that, you might want to reconsider working in this field. The lack of compassion and the attitude from the front staff was honestly shocking. There was no attempt to help, no understanding—just rigid rules and rude delivery. Needless to say, I will NOT be rescheduling. I’ll be finding a pediatrician who actually cares about kids and the parents doing their best to get them there.

  **Learn from your mistakes** Dr. O’Donnell if someone else’s child is doing something that you feel is disrespectful, or just being rude to the parent don’t ever think it’s ok to snatch something from said child’s hand and start talking to that child as if they’re your own. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional in so many ways! You should stay in your place as the pediatrician, but do not ever try to be the parent of someone else’s child. So you have definitely lost a patient that has been with lake norman pediatrics for 2 generations. That’s 35 years of services with your office because you crossed a line! Take my advice as the parent of that child and don’t ever cross that line again or you’ll lose even more patients in the future! Amy Moore (nurse practitioner)was also very unprofessional, had no courtesy, no manners and disrespectful! Worse news I had gotten about my child while attending an appointment then I just so happen to come out of the room to tell you we’re finished and I hear you and the nursing staff having an undeniably awful conversation about my family and I. You are also the reason my child will not be back, just so disappointed that this was my very first experience with you in my 15 years as a parent of a patient! When I brought it up you played stupid then got an attitude instead of just apologizing like an adult.

  First time mom here! 🙋🏻‍♀️My husband and I are SO happy we decided to go with this location. From start to finish- everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. We were so worried we might be late to our newborns first appointment today and we arrived right on time (which isn’t on time for me- I like to be 15 min early lol) and we were able to check-in smoothly. Nurse Brittany took us back and was so easy to talk to and she performed his bilirubin test and in the middle of weighing him realized he had another poopy diaper and even insisted on changing it for us which was so so nice. She noticed that he looked hungry so she gave us the room for as long as we needed for me to breastfeed before the doctor came in. We appreciated this!! We saw Dr. Laura O’Donnell and from the beginning she immediately made both of us think to ourselves, “YES, we’ve found our doctor for our baby boy!” She was so gentle and kind throughout the entire appointment. She sat and listened to all of our questions and we never felt rushed- in fact, during the appt. she noticed our little boy looked so hungry and we were on the topic of bottle feeding she went and got a sample for us to try in the room with her and that made him so happy that he went right to sleep after that bottle 😅 Moreover, Dr. O’Donnell was so thorough and really made us feel like she cared not only for our baby but for us as parents and definitely provided us with the tools to succeed!! We will never forget his first appointment and we can’t wait to spend all his pediatric years at this practice 🩵
