  I just removed an unfavorable review of this company. I hope the review did not affect their reputation. Am writing to clear up what happened. I wrote the review in response to a home health aide that left us and was exposed to Covid and didn’t mention it. The last time my other half got Covid she was in the hospital for 6 days with 4 of them in a coma. So I became very angry and wrote a poor review about Home Instead which shouldn’t have happened. They are a good home health care company. So am writing here to apologize to them and their staff. In the future my other half will handle all communication and scheduling with the home health care agency. So if you are reading this consider this company for your loved ones. They do a good job and I was unjustified in being overly aggressive and should have controlled myself. Thanks again Home Instead for all you have done for us the past year and a half. Tom G.

  I had a wonderful experience with Home Instead in Monroe. My 84 year old mother lives with us, and both my husband and I were sick and couldn't take my mom to an appointment. Even though this was last minute and somewhat out of their normal operations, Tom was able to find someone who could help the next day. Cher was the caregiver and she was excellent with my mom who has Alzheimer's. She was friendly and took care of her every step of the way. Although we're not at the point where I need help on a regular basis, once I do, I will definitely give Home Instead a call. Thanks so much for getting us out of jam.

  I highly recommend Home Instead Monroe. My sister with Alzheimer's Disease was in an assisted living facility in Albemarle. She would often get frustrated because she wanted to go outside more than what the facility could accommodate, as she needed constant supervision. I contacted Home Instead, who was able to provide companion care. Stephanie would visit my sister several days a week and take her out for lunch, take her shopping, or just take her outside so that my sister could work in the garden. My sister was extremely happy, as it gave her back some of her independence. When it was time to move my sister to another location, Stephanie help my sister pack up almost all of my sister's things, so I had very little to do other than load it up. I was very pleased that Home Instead was able to provide this service for someone in assisted living and will definitely use their services again, if the need arises.

  Home instead aid stole my jewelry, ie. wedding diamond band, ring, diamond engagement ring, diamond tennis bracelet, gold women's watch, my fathers service pins with sapphires and more. Nothing was done about it. Called a number of times to speak to the owner, but never responded to my calls. Will consult an attorney.
