  I was experiencing a migraine , fever/chills and muscle aches so I scheduled an appointment , enter my insurance info along with my id. I mustard the strength to get out of bed and head to my appointment. To my surprise, when I got there the door was locked (with people inside) . So I knock on the door, the customer just stared at me , I asked them are they not seeing anyone else today ( there is no receptionist here) I was ignored. I tried to call, I was unable to get up with anyone on the phone. Now here I am on a cold rainy day , sick at the doctors office that I have an appointment with, it’s 11:30 and they don’t close until 4 . My emotions were heightened at this point , I mean I was pissed . My adrenaline gave me the strength to walk around back and knock on the door. The lady finally answered my knocks with “who is it? “ I said “are y’all not seeing anyone else today I have an appointment “ “she said you don’t need to bang on the door , go to the front”. Met her at the front door she said “ I’m the only one here the door is locked for my safety “ I let her know I knocked on the front door and called . She said she didn’t here me knocking and it would be 2-3 hrs before I could be seen. In that moment I was so angry I knew it was best for me to just leave. I know 2 wrongs don’t make a right but a simple note on the door would’ve sufficed and also I believe it’s a safety hazard to lock people in the building. Anyways I just drove to the new fast pace urgent care in kinston and I was seen in a matter of minutes and they also have a receptionist there to help.

  So for starters I went in with a severe swollen lip and they took forever getting me in the back although no one else was there but me. Second when I went to explain my situation she didn’t take anytime to carefully look at my condition or talk to me about it so I could have a understanding on what’s going on and what I should do or what I shouldn’t do. She just squeezed my lip twice and said “ be right back “ and just gave me medication that just ended up making things worse so now I am in the ER because my lip is the size of a marble I promise if I could give this place a 0 star rating I would!!!

  First impression of this place is terrible. I walk in seeking to be seen about a concussion I had gotten a couple of days ago, and there is no one at the counter no direction on where to sign in. I had to figure out how to sign in on the iPad at the front desk. So I signed in the nurse pulled me to the back later and informed me that I put my age as 10 months old on accident and told me I would have to sign in again because I pressed close instead of the date on my birthday and it automatically went back to 2025. While they were letting me know this they decided it would be professional to start smiling and giggling. So I waited until they called me back again and basically informed me that they will not be able to see me without a printed workers' comp form even though I had a form authorising them to see me from the workers comp insurance company. So I ended up wasting about 2 hours of my day just to not be seen which could have been prevented if there was a person at the desk willing to help me.
