  Worst pediatric doctor I've ever met! I'm a 41 y/o married father of 3 boys who recently moved to Winston-Salem after retiring from the U.S. Army. I've lived all over the country and dealt with dozens of doctors. My 16 y/o boy has severe autism and epilepsy so I've seen more than the typical parent in my opinion. The situation in our house has become unmanageable. Even with my full time effort. Even with the support of my wife it is unmanageable. I make this clear to every doctor we see and have very few problems. I'm overly thankful and supportive to doctors, nurses, school aids and teachers... I mean to an insane degree. This is bc I recognize how hard my son is on people. Jump to the situation at hand. We've seen Dr alden maybe 6 times in 2 years. While she's been willing to see us in the past she would eventually refuse and claim everything ypu can imagine and eventially "safety" with a smile on her face. I have said to my wife several times "she talks down to us like were trash". That's fine, maybe she's tired or maybe im just wrong whatever. Im not a thin skinned individual typically but when it involves my handicapped son.. I am. Lately my son refuses to get out of the car and freaks out to try. Worse than u think. He's 16, 5'8" 150. When he's fighting good luck. Noone, not the doc or nurses has to do this, just me. They are never in arms reach and never does the doctor even come out. He's also non verbal so there's zero communication. It's a bad situation for an outsider to have to watch I'm sure but guess what... its way worse when it's 24/7. That's what I deal with. If you sign up to be a pediatric doctor and say you see handicapped kids you should have exceptional manner and understanding. So what's the problem? The last year Dr alden refuses to walk out to the parking lot to look at him. Not treat, just see him. She literally onlu has to refill his medication. Nothing else. This is a tiny practice in a strip mall behind a mcdonalds. U can easily see the parking lot from the lobby. Bc his behavior meds are controlled he has to be "seen" once every 12 months. Too easy right? Wrong. This below average Dr decided she won't come outside or help in anyway. Again, she knows the deal she's just refusing bc she looks at us like we're trash. Several times she's called my phone talking to me lime im stupid bc I don't have a degree. One appt I'm telling her my thoughts on his care and she says "oh really when did you graduate medical school? Right I didn't think so". She's a condescending, unprofessional pathetic excuse for a professional. The last time she called and started it again so we had a nice call about what we thought of each other. I take responsibility for every word. Exactly what I said on here. Does she tell us to leave? She lies and says she's filling out a referral for a new doctor (I'm sure bc people could hear) instead she sent the letter attached. It bars us from her office and every other pediatric clinic/doctor/ emergency care facility associated with novant anywhere near me. What kind of power trip is this and how is this legal? Where is the support from the community? Naturally the big bad "doctor" can do anything they want bc they have more resources than the average American. I'm a father of 3 boys on a fixed income from disability for injuries sustained on 1 of my 3 combat deployments. I don't have doctor money to just go anywhere I want. It's hard enough getting Medicaid to cover care as it is. Now we have hateful doctors refusing care to the most vulnerable? Handicapped kids? It's pathetic! Novant health broadly and novant health forsyth pediatrics union cross specifically should be ashamed. Please tell all your friends and family. We should not have to be treated like this. We are not less than them. Hee name is Margaret Alden

  My son is autistic and has a lot of anxiety around going to the doctor. Dr. Alden and all the health providers here have always been really patient with him.

  Very rude woman who comes to the car. Had no regard for my child’s health whatsoever. Very poor communication skills. They need to train their staff to have empathy and to use proper etiquette when it comes to patients and parents.

  Poor communication, failure to respond and read mychart messages and REFUSED to see my daughter for a urgent matter because they thought it was best to wait another day. My kids health was not top priority. However Ms.Tammy was knowledgeable and patient. We hate to leave her but my kids health comes first.
