  This procedure was different from the last procedure I had at Novant Health Brain & Spine Surgery. Dr. Michael O'Toole & his staff explained the procedure in easy to understand terms. The procedure itself was relatively pain free and I was in & out in maybe 6 min. Kudos to Dr. O'Toole, his staff & all the great folks who work at Novant Health Brain & Spine Surgery ! Thank You !

  We spent months jumping through hoops for insurance approval only to find out the day before my husbands procedure that it had not been approved. They did not bother to call us to notify us and it was only after we repeatedly called them did they bother to tell us it was not approved and blamed our insurance. I immediately called Tricare only to find out they had not responded for a request for additional information weeks before. Long story short do not expect anyone at this facility to care about the amount of pain or suffering you are in they will not be proactive in filing with insurance or follow up appropriately when requested. They will not even bother to tell you in advance that they will not be doing the procedure. They do not care about their patients and unfortunately it shows in how they are treated.
