I am writing to formally complain about the treatment I have received from Carolina Behavioral Care and their handling of my medical care. In November, I was discharged due to a shortage of doctors, which was no fault of my own. Since then, I have struggled to find another provider who is either too far away or does not accept my insurance.
After speaking with Dr. Palmgren, I was told that Hillsborough would schedule me as a new patient. I was given an appointment, but then I was called back with two different appointments that got mixed up. Now, I am being refused care and denied my medication, which I have been taking daily for nearly three years. Suddenly stopping my medication is dangerous and unacceptable.
Furthermore, Alicia at the office was extremely rude and showed no concern for my situation. Her customer service was poor, and she told me multiple lies that she could not keep straight, even laughing in my face. This behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful.
I have reached out to the state board, and the North Carolina Human Services as well as Corporate and next is Troubleshooting because this treatment is unfair and puts my health at seriously at risk!

After being a patient for over 20 years, I called and asked for my next appointment and I was rudely told that Dr Su is no longer a doctor there and they had no one else available to help me. No referral or anything.

Very helpful and pleasant
DONT LISTEN TO BAD REVIEWS.
I came here for the first time when I was 13 or 14, I am 28 now. I dealt with SEVERE mental illness, anger issues etc through the years. They have always been super patient with me even if I wasnt always nice.
(that broken door? i did that as a kid) instead of charging me, they calmed me down and helped me. I have had many emergency visits, many walk ins etc. I have never been judged even when i was going through addiction or trauma.
The broken door doesnt even scratch the surface on how bad off i was, i had numerous therapists and psychiatrists quit on me at other places. Dr wall and Sierra never gave up on me. I use to do intensive in home and sierra after i graduated from that became an individual therapist and i wanted her.
the front desk staff has always been sweet to me and always helped me, my mom couldnt work growing up because of my mental health i was constantly getting suspended and expelled. Dr wall and sierra gave me hope in a time i felt hopeless and gave my mom hope that i could live a normal life. This clinic literally saved my life over and over again and helped protect me from myself. I love this place i truly do, and the bad reviews are bogus.
These people here work hard and truly care the upmost for their clients.
dr wall and sierra have bent over backwards to help me time and time again. They listen to me and my moms concerns, know me so well. They show interests in my hobbies and things i do. I have never not once felt judged here. I have bpd, adhd, bipolar 1 and panic disorder. I am now clean, free from the psych wards a few years and in a place i never thought i would be mindspace wise.
Carolina Behavior Care takes difficult clients and gives them hope for a better future and a way to manage our issues

Go through doctors like teenage girls go through clothes. They don't inform you when the doctor leaves and then do not return calls or messages when you need a medication chamge or a visit. Extremely unprofessional for a place that deals with mental health.
