  When setting up an appointment, please ensure to have someone who is competent in scheduling & insurance matters. Everybody deserves to be treated with respect no matter the insurance provider. God bless.

  Wow, what an experience for not only my sweet daughter’s first visit to an eye doctor, but for my husband who had to take her. Let me set the stage here, if you have Medicaid, you understand how frustrating and tedious it is to find an in network provider using the Medicaid portal..oftentimes having to call each provider to verify they take it. We called, the gal who answered the phone said they accepted it, so we booked the appointment. My daughter was nervous but excited, my husband and her arrived…aaaand they were met by the most despicable front desk representative imaginable. Rude. Condescending. Talking down to my family, I’m assuming because of our insurance. Saying that they did in fact NOT take Medicaid. She refused to take ownership of the mistake that someone in the office was incorrect in stating they accepted our insurance and, bless her heart, had the audacity to call my husband “classy” when he stated they were acting like thieves, basically having patients come in under the guise that their appointment would be covered, only to pull the rug out from under you and demand the entire outrageous fee. I really hope this helps other families who rely on Medicaid to avoid this place like the plague, they do not accept that insurance, even though the portal says they do and you may have someone answer the phone who claims they do. I also hope this post reaches someone in charge who can find someone, anyone, more suitable to be the face who welcomes people into your office..because trust me, it will not be difficult to find someone better than that woman you have currently.

  Friendly staff. Dr. Desmone is the best. Always makes you feel like family not a stranger. Doesn't try to convince you to do a procedure you not comfortable with. Highly recommend to anyone who needs their eyes examined.

  I was early for my appointment, but I only waited five minutes. The eye tests from the tech were quick and knowledgeable. Pictures were taken of the back of my eyes that could show if I had any further issues. Barbara Desmone was the Optician that I saw today. She was very thorough and professional. Ms Desmone is a delight! The whole visit was enjoyable. I know they accept patients based on insurance. However, I would definitely recommend Triangle Visions in Havelock!
