  Dr. Kisiedu and all of the medical practitioners are amazing! Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism of the front desk staff has caused me to leave this 1 star review. I’ve been a patient at this office for 2 years and the front desk team (only white women) always seems to be in a crappy mood. They really need to work on their customer service. It’s like they don’t want to be there and they don’t even care to hide it. No compassion, no empathy, no respect for anyone of color. And I am a Black woman. Often times the front desk staff don’t even refer to Dr. Kisiedu (a Black woman) as “Dr.”, I’ve heard them refer to her as Ms. Kisiedu, which is unprofessional and disrespectful. Upon check in for my appointment today, Brittney referred to me as “girl” which is strange considering I’m an adult woman and her and I are not friends and have no personal relationship. Not sure if she just talks like that but I never heard anyone else in the office refer to a patient as girl. Even Black women at other offices don’t refer to me as girl. Brittney you are very unprofessional and off-putting. I’m not a girl and I’m certainly not your girl. Maybe some diversity at front desk would help? Or maybe just get rid of the bad apples. The way I’ve been treated in person and over the phone makes me question whether I will continue going to this office. Then again, maybe that’s just what the front office staff wants me to do. I hope things change for the better soon.

  Dr. K is awesome and very personable, however I was left unattended while awaiting labs. I was the first one waiting,however not one nurse staff assisted me as I had to walk to the front checkout to get assistance. Several nurses saw me waiting for several minutes knowing that the lab assistant was not on duty. This is unacceptable

  I’m a single mother to a 4- and 5-year-old, and I left work early & picked both kids up from school early to make this appointment — which was the only available one today. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more dismissed about my children’s health than I did during this visit. This was our first and last time at this location. We typically go to Novant in Kannapolis, but with both kids sick and some ongoing concerns to address, I booked the Harrisburg appointment thinking we’d see someone equally compassionate and familiar with our care history. That was not the case. The doctor repeatedly cut me off mid-sentence, was impatient with my children, and came across as dismissive. She diagnosed my son with what she called an “angry ear infection” — yet said she’d write a prescription but not actually give it to him. As of 6:30 p.m., more than three hours after our 3:00 appointment, no prescription has been called in. The office closes at 5:00, so now my child is still in pain with no medication to help. On top of that, I’ve been waiting months for the therapy referrals (OT, PT, and others) my son needs. I specifically asked about them again today, and that request was brushed off entirely as the request was completely ignored. Now I’ll have to schedule another appointment with our regular provider just to revisit the same concerns that could’ve been addressed today. Everyone else in the office was kind, but the doctor’s attitude and lack of follow-through were unacceptable. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe it. Please save yourself the time and trouble, and visit ANY other physician's office if you want any concerns addressed.
