Please read! I brought my newborn son here straight out of the hospital. The first appointment only lasted 5 minutes max, and the ladies at the front desk were very rude to me and my husband. I decided to set up a second appointment only because it was the closest location to my house that accepted Medicaid and my son needed to be seen ASAP. At the second appointment, I had many concerns about why my child was always looking to the left and about his sickness. The woman at the front desk was giving me bad looks when we were in the waiting room because my son kept coughing. She asked us to step outside because they “care about all kids health” even though there was NOBODY in the waiting room. He was sick for two weeks with a fever on some days, and it was clear he had trouble breathing. When we finally got called back, the doctor looked at him then looked at me, asked me what I was doing to help. Because he had a fever on some days, I was giving him Tylenol and she raised her voice and told me “You don’t give him anything UNLESS I TELL YOU TOO.” She said everything is fine and everything he is going through is normal, she didn’t even talk about his vaccinations that he was going to need. Me and my husband just looked at each other and we both knew we needed to change pediatricians because our child was not okay. I ended up switching back to my daughters old pediatrician, Jessica Hart, at UNC panther creek pediatrics in Cary, NC (which is an hour and a half away from us) because they have ALWAYS cared about daughters health and gave me detailed explanations on what is going on. When we took him to Jessica Hart, she looked at him fully and was very concerned. My son had right torticollis and is now being referred to a neurologist for his spine. She printed out special instructions for his physical therapy, got me an appointment with WIC that same day, and eased our minds when it came to our son. This is what I expect pediatricians who work with babies and children to do. Care for kids. It is very clear that the doctors at KidzCare pediatrics at this location does not care about kids, only money and for you to get out as quick as possible. Also, even with Medicaid, they sent me bills in the mail for the appointments that lasted minutes each time. If you care about your kids health and want a pediatrician to care for your babies, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! Kids need to be cared for by their doctor, and the doctors at KidzCare Pediatrics at the Battleground location does not live up to its name.
