Have been coming to this store for probably 15 years, and have gotten wonderful service every time.... until yesterday. Walked in to get my lenses replaced and was immediately told by Gregg (store manager) it would be 3-4 hours and we'd have to leave them there because they were busy.
The last time I had my lenses replaced (a few months ago), it took only 5-10 minutes, so I was of course curious about other options that wouldn't take as long. We had kids at home we needed to get back to, and I wasn't prepared to be visionless for that long. Any and every question I asked was answered with a short blunt response, that denied any idea I had, and made me feel dumb for asking it.
Is there any way I can have the lenses to put them in myself? - "No they need to be cut". Can you use the identical pair on the shelf to cut them so I can keep my glasses in the meantime? "No we have to have yours." Is there a waitlist we can put ourselves on? "We don't have a waitlist." I wish I could portray just how short and careless he was with every answer.
Not a bit helpful, and seemingly on a rude power trip to just deny us of any kind of assistance. You would think a manager would at least offer a counter solution like - it may be done sooner, or if you come back in the morning first thing it may be a better time.
Very frustrated- I leave and say we'll just come back another time.
My wife calls them on the way home and asks if we can set up an appointment the next day in hopes that it won't take 3-4 hours. They say they don't take appointments... but the store is currently empty and they should be able to do them now. The store is EMPTY.... 20 minutes or so after we left; after we were told it would be 3-4 hours because they were so busy.
Even more frustrated, we head back to the store and thankfully were greeted by Chris, and my glasses are taken back by Bryant- both wonderful guys and providing the service I've loved there for so many years. Guess what.... the lenses are already CUT, so it literally takes 5 minutes to replace them and so that whole ordeal was such a waste of time and energy.
Gregg comes out and says "there's no way I could have known they were already cut". Well maybe if you had checked first before shutting us down??? Literally if I had talked to Chris or Bryant first, none of this would've been an issue.
Because of the way we were treated by Gregg, I will never step foot into or give my business to that place again. Gregg should be ashamed of himself and learn to leave his ego at the door. He could certainly learn a thing or two from his employees on how to treat his customers.

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
