First time coming to Main Street Family Care. Jacob came out of the back and helped my husband and I both register. He went way out of his way. Very polite and kind. He took us both back at the same time. Our provider MaKenna Marti-Rasheva was very kind and polite too. I love when doctors treat you as a person and not just a name on a file. She took her time with each one of us and even helped my husband with another problem he had. I would highly recommend them and definitely will be returning.
Absolutely a joke. Waited over an hour to be seen with only 1 person in the back being treated. Unable to speak to anyone for the whole hour until your called to be seen so you can’t even ask a question. The whole business is ran terribly. Don’t request to ask to speak to someone in person either because they will never come out and talk or give you a call as it states they will.

Went here about a month ago not feeling well and to be tested to see if I had strep throat and to get antibiotics if so. There was 3 cars in the parking lot. And one person in the waiting room and I was there for almost 3 hours. The lady that came in to take my vitals and provide the throat swab was really nice, she got my info did the culture and I waited. And waited.. and waited. For them to come back and tell me that I tested negative for strep throat when my son just tested positive the same day and we had the same symptoms. So she said they could do a culture and send it off, I agreed. For her to come BACK in and say “ we lied” “it’s positive for strep” and the lady misread the test.or read it too soon. Fast forward to today. I was in and out pretty fast. No strep throat. But the lady dr there misdiagnosed me and said that the rash I had was not poison Ivey and it is. Her aurora and body language just seemed like she was tired of talking to me and acted as if she had never seen a rash before saying posion Ivy pusses up ect. This is the (almost) second misdiagnosis with the same lady. The facility itself and staff are great but I just feel like there needs to be more staff on duty so other drs or nurses can get second opinions if need be, So that they aren’t misdiagnosing patients or misreading test or throat swabs, And also they can see more patients if they get super busy.

I went in earlier today for a cat bite because the veterinarian that witnessed the bite recommended antibiotics and a tetanus shot. When i went in today, the tech that took my vitals also asked how long it had been since my last shot (between 10 and 15 years). So of course, when the doctor came in, I asked about it, only to be told that it doesn't apply because you only get it from "rusty metal." Those were her exact words. The CDC begs to differ. So for $150, I received a prescription for an antibiotic and factually incorrect, potentially harmful medical advice. Shame on you!
It was Walmart that came through for me, and administered the shot, free of charge.
Don't go here. Please.
I would definitely not recommend going to this office in Goldsboro, the doctor I had today acted as if they were in another world , I told her I got regular check ups every six months and she asked me why would I do that? She said do you have some type of health issue? I said no aren’t you supposed to have a check up every six month and she just stared at me, The whole time I was there, she was in a daze like she did not even know where she was I asked her if she could take my blood pressure manually and she acted like she had never heard of anything like that before in her life and once she did take it, she did it completely wrong. Not sure about the one in Kinston , but I will definitely not go back to Goldsboro.
