Novant health allows patients to be seen at different locations when their PCP is not available. I did just that when my daughter had a follow up appointment from the ER in April of last year and Dr. Nichols was not available. I came for my daughter to be seen and as soon as they called me back Dr. Nichols nurse and the receptionist at the checkout counter had an attitude saying my daughter had to be seen by a new Dr because her primary care Dr. was not Dr. Nichols I explained to them that I never changed my daughters primary care doctor when I did the follow up and they continued to insist it was me the issue. I asked them to check my other children's primary care doctor and the receptionist did not want to. I started to stand my ground and explain to them that my other children have the same doctor and they did not want to listen. The manager came in but did not introduce herself she just saw me talking to the other two nurses and I told them who is my child's Primary care doctor and they said the Dr was Zuzzo which my child has not seen since 5 years ago when I changed the practice to this practice. That lets me know that someone at this clinic did not do their job however they insisted that I changed the primary care doctor. The manager allowed the receptionist. At this point no one had even said hi to me but they were team tagging me because they were mad I went to another clinic. I kept my composure and told the nurse I have never had this issue at any other clinic. My child had a serious health issue back in April and the Novant Hospital arraigned that follow up. The nurse said she did not want to talk to me about that. So I told her since she does not want to talk to me I will not talk to her. When she pulled me into the room she kept asking me questions and I told her you can talk to my daughter since you do not want to talk to me. She continued to disrespect me and kept coming in and out of the room so I asked to talk to the manager that's when I found out the lady instructing the front desk to change the PCP was the manager. The nurse told them that I didn't want to cooperate and answer the questions when she was the one being rude when the manager told me to go in the patient room to talk I was standing and she told me to calm down. I said I work from home I do not want to sit. I sit a lot and my buttocks hurt. I am not going off or yelling why do you tell me to calm down she said I wasn't i just wanted you to sit. I prefer to stand then she proceeded to disregard my complaint about the staff disrespect since I walked in the door. She told me that I was the one stopping my child from being seen then proceeded to say she was going to get the nurse that was rude and watch over and then still sit in the room and say I was stopping them from seeing my child I said I am standing by the window and you are sitting on the stool by the door I am not stopping you, you are stopping yourself. Go do what you have to do. The nurse comes in and asks the questions. Then the doctor comes in and tells me that I need to be respectful to the staff and I told her I did not disrespect anyone and I had my sister on the phone listening to the entire thing since they started disrespecting me. I told Dr. Nichols that her staff needs to be respectful no one cared to listen to my concerns and look into the reason why there was an issue with the PCP. The doctor tells me that she tells all her patients to be respectful to the staff and that is not true. I have seen Dr. Nichols before and we never had an issue nor has she told me to be respectful to her staff. As soon as I told her I was not disrespectful she said I was stopping my daughter from being seen I told her how am I stopping my daughter from being seen? She said it was because I had the manager in the room. I told her I called the manager in the room due to the disrespect and the doctor could have still came in the room and seen my daughter but they chose to disrespect me and act like I was the problem. I nearly cried and she said my feelings didn't matter. Worst experience.

Can not say enough great things about them. My children have been seeing Dr. Johnson for a little over 6 years and we absolutely love her & Norma. So when I needed a new PCP, Dr. Johnson welcomed me. She doesn’t rush through our appointments, answers any and all questions I may have even if it’s after our appointment if something comes to my mind I send a message and the response is prompt and informative. Wish I could give more then a 5 star rating

I am a new patient from another area. They will not schedule me an appointment for several weeks. I ask what am I supposed to do with the current medications that I am taking? They said that they don't even prescribe those medications. I said I've been on these medications for years now. Was informed that they would be unable to help me with my medications.

Dr. Allison Evanhoff, wow! I went to my PCP office to have my FMLA paperwork filled out, like I have the past few years. I suffer from an addiction and B-Polar 1 with SEVERE depression. She came into the appointment with an agenda. Mind you she is the 3rd maybe 4th provider I have seen filling in for my regular provider, and that's another story. I filled out some dates and parameters on my FMLA paperwork, because I knew, she DIDN'T KNOW ME!!! She was adiment that I have blank paperwork. In a 15 min appointment she still wasn't going to KNOW ME so why wouldn't I complete dates and occurrencs!!!. I was in a facility for 6 months for my dependency...what! I shut down immediately. She knew I shut down. She asked if I needed any medication. She told me to upload a blank form and she would give a reduced amount of coverage. Basically she back peddled. My current FMLA covers 9 days of absence for a month. A MONTH!!! If you are trying to quit substance abuse, and everything in your life without a substance, has you hanging on by a thread, not caring about nothing, how can someone govern your DOWNTIME!!! Triggers are real. I cannot tell you when I just don't have the strength to try. She told me 9 days was enabling me to not get better. Wow! Mind you I work everyday that I can. I've been at the same job 11 yrs. Job before that 5 yrs. Job before that 6 yrs. I contribute to society not take from it. My consistency with anything (meds/therapy/hygiene) is a work in progress and that's just what my REALITY is. To have a PCP who doesn't know me feel that they should govern my FMLA is diabolical! I pray that she never has the carpet pulled out from under her reality. I pray that when she finds out her husband has cheated with the young babysitter, the girl at the gym or at the office, and she can't go to work, no one governs her FMLA. I hope no one says I DON'T WANT TO ENABLE YOU to feel how you feel because life is lifing. PCPs would like for mental health to be governed by psychiatry... How many homeless people would rather be that than be governed by medicine or a psychiatrist...I'll wait. Anyone with mental illness would rather see a PCP than psychiatrist. I know that if I need birth control I'm going to my PCP. I know that if my cholesterol is high I'm going to my PCP. I know that when I need a rescue inhaler I'm going to my PCP. So when I need my medicine of/for any condition I need I'm going to my PCP. Dr. Allison Evanhoff is diabolical. The day I saw her could've been the day I decided to end it all...then what.
